They took Gale first, cleaning his back off as he let out a gasp the second the cloth touched his skin. Next they smeared the poltice on, Gale groaning. Finally they got a chemical used to sterilize the area, pressing it directly on the wound. It felt like a hundred suns, his vision flashing white. A raw, guttural yell coming from deep in his chest. Sweat slicked down his hair, the surface of his skin wet with it. |
