Sage chewed his lower lip for a moment, switching to playing with the ring when he tasted blood. It was a nasty habit, but one he couldn't seem to break. He nodded slowly at his suggestion about the gills. "That might work," he thought out loud. "I'll also mention that you're a loner ....they won't try to look for more right away since they won't know where any of you are," he added after a moment, wiping the blood off his cheek with a scowl. He really hated these people. "And act like that sore is still making you sick if they come in. I'll tell them we can't move you yet since you're hurt," he pointed out. "It'll give us a few days at least."

Remy nodded. "Okay..." he murmured, thinking. "They won't find anymore of us anyway," he said confidently. The only reason he got caught is because he was alone. He nodded, "Okay," he replied, mentally repeating it to remember it.

Sage hummed in agreement before moving to get off the platform with a sigh. He had work to do, and he needed to get his head taken care of before he got blood all over everything too. So, he moved into the room he lived in, and washed the wound out. It is asnt terribly deep, so he just held toilet paper to it until it stopped bleeding, then retied his hair back up into it's normal bun before heading back out and over to his desk.

Remy sunk back down, exhaling and switching to his gills, he swam around for a bit, gracefully, just doing what he could as he was pretty bored. He twisted and turned, as jf dancing in the water before getting tired and going to curl up underneath his rock to take a nap.

Once sage had gotten himself back together, splashed some cold water on his face, and reigned in all his emotions, he jotted down the notes they'd talked about, sending over the message to his father. He hated the fact that even now, he still could control him so much. The very thought of the guy shook sage. To get his mind off it, he moved back towards the tank, watching the sleeping merman for a while. Eventually, he moved to go relax himself, but couldn't, so he grabbed a bottle. Dumb idea? Definitely. Did he care? No, not really. It didn't take long for him to get through most of the bottle, so as a result he was pretty wasted in about half an hour or so. Not his best night, that was for certain.

Remy curled up underneath his rock, tucking himself in his tail and closing his eyes, drifting off for the night.

Sage lounged around for a while, eventually deciding to go do work. Still drunk, of course, so most of his handwriting was a complete disaster. He knew he'd regret it tomorrow, but eventually he'd passed out on his desk, the empty bottle laying on the floor. At least he'd get a decent night's rest for once.

Remy woke early that morning, expecting to find his food on the ground over underneath the platform, though it wasn't. Huh.. weird.

Sage was out cold for most of the morning, slowly waking at around ten thirty or so. He groaned softly, stuff from falling asleep a his desk. Not to mention the raging hangover he had. He reached for the bottle to help with that, then cursed under his breath when he noticed it was empty. He downed a few pain meds after a moment or two and moved to feed Remy, who was probably starving by then.

Remy ate his meal quickly, swimming up to the fish as the man dropped them into the tank. "You forget about me now, huh?"
