He was terrified..he knew she wouldn't say no, but he was still terrified as he waited for her response. He was excited too though, he had been wanting to propose for a while and had never found the right moment. But he was certain this was it. |

Lol ok goodnight/good morning!) Max nodded enthusiastically "Yes! Of course I will!" She chirped happily allowing him to slide the ring on her finger before she (momentarily forgetting about their little nugget) tackled him into a hug kissing over his face "Of course I want to be your wife!" She chirped happily. Roxie appeared in the corner of their room opposite to where the baby stuff was and smirked "How lovely! Can I be a bridesmaid?" She teased. She was barely put back together... Her cracked skull was showing on about half of her head everything from the nose upward was all cracked fragments of bone that looked like they'd been glued together by a child... But her energy signature she was still pretty weak but she smiled "I come baring a gift... A... Early wedding present if you will..." She smiled the little demon girl that had been with her before appearing beside her the girl freezing the two of them as Roxie made her way over to Maxine "Obviously I can't stop you... It's a pity... He had every opportunity to save you... To let you walk away and be killed some other way... But now you're going to suffer..." She assured her "Not today... But soon..." She assured glaring over at Sage before her underling shoved a hand into Max's chest... It wasn't her heart but a tiny white/blue orb "This Maxine is your soul..." Roxie cooed "It's blinding and horrifyingly beautiful... But now it will be a burden..." She said her underling placing the ball in the space just above Maxine's ring the light disappearing into the gem "Your soul is tied to this ring now... If anything happens to you the light that you can see in this token of such a happy day will fade... The closer you are to death the more the light will fade." She explained glaring at Sage with a smile "By the way those runes don't work if you don't repaint them and... You ought to keep that ring safe... Your life force exists in there too... If that ring gets broken or damaged we'll... You don't want to find out what happens then. Roxie purred playfully before she and her underling disappeared. |

Sage lay there shocked for a moment before forcing his own energy out in order to unfreeze them, which proved to be more difficult than he expected and as soon as he could move, he hunched over, gasping for breath. "Of course she would stomp back up here before she was fully reformed just to piss me off," he grumbled irritably. But he couldn't stay mad for long...Maxine had said yes, and that had to be the happiest moment of his life. He wasn't going to let Roxie ruin the fun. |

Max backed off as soon as she was unfrozen and was behind Sage a small whimper leaving her when Roxie left she'd hidden behind Sage. When he finally turned to her she wrapped her arms around him "Geez she looked so... Scary..." Max admitted. Normally Max was pretty brave... But she had a lot more to protect then just herself now... She couldn't be brave and reckless like she could when she'd been in the factory with Sage all that time ago. |

Sage hugged her tighter and nodded. "I guess it's not everyday you see someone with that kind of wound, huh?" He ran his fingers through her hair gently. "It's alright ..she's still really weak. She can't do anything." |

"No... I've never seen someone with a wound like that..." She murmured "It was scary Sage... She was right in my face..." She whimpered softly hugging him before she pulled away nodding "Okay..." She murmured softly looking up at him trying to offer him a smile when there was a knock at the door her eyebrows knitting together "Who could that be?" She wondered. |

Sage patted her comfortingly. "I know. I didn't like it either, and I see that all the time." He looked at the door and cocked his head thoughtfully. "I dont know let's find out." He walked over to the door and tugged it open. |

Ethan and Lizzie were standing there "Hey! We came by to drop off Max's birthday gifts... We can't stay long unfortunately... We're actually on our lunch break at the moment..." Lizzie said the two of them holding up a box and a bag each "We got little something's for your little nugget too." She giggled as Max came over "Aww that's so sweet." She said putting her mask back on in front of them she was all smiles as she accepted the gifts "Thank you two so much!" She chirped happily "If you don't like any of it the reciepts are in there." Lizzie assured happily Ethan nodding along with her "Happy birthday Max." He chirped happily. |

Sage smiled and watched them all, glad that they had stopped by...Max needed something happy again after Roxie had showed up. He knew she was still freaked out but it was still good. Once they had given her the gifts and had talked for a bit, he spoke up. "Thanks you two. I'm sure she'll like it." |

Max smiled at them "Thank you both so much." She cooed happily hugging the two of them "Oh! Before I forget... I brought two slices of that chocolate cake you like from the bakery." Lizzy winked "So you and Sage can enjoy it." She said happily "Aww thanks!" Max chirped happily "You're welcome... We'll see you later!" Lizzy chirped happily before she and Ethan headed off Max eager to open their presents. She couldn't help but chuckle at the two outfits they'd gotten for the baby, one was a cute little fox-themed outfit and Ethan had gotten a small bundle of baby clothes for them (thrifted of course) "Don't worry I washed everything." The card that came with it said. Fox Max they'd given her a few sketchbooks and some paints and colored pencils knowing she'd enjoy those. "Aww they're so sweet... But you... You gave me the most amazing gifts of all..." Max cooed happily kissing Sage's cheek. |
