Axel had been pacing the length of his room furiously, but when Duncan came back in, he immediately rushed to his side, ushering him over to sit down. "Are you ok," he asked, clearly sensing something was wrong. "What's wrong?"

Duncan sat, "I... I have cancer," he breathed, still in shock.
| |

Axel was pretty shocked himself, eyes widening slightly at his words. "You...what," he sort of breathed, before shaking his head. "It's alright... we'll get through it," he noted firmly, not wanting to believe anything else.

| |

Duncan shook his head, tears beginning to stream from his eyes.
| |

Axel just wrapped his arms around him, trying to comfort them both. "It's ok," he murmured softly. "I'm here."
| |
| |

Duncan burried his face in Axels chest and sobbed for what seemed like hours.
| |

Axel just held him tightly the entire time, trying to breathe deeply and calmly to help Duncan regulate.
| |
| |

Duncan eventually calmed down, but still clung onto Axel.
| |

Axel didn't want to let him go either, but he knew they couldn't stand there all day either. "Should we go sit down," he suggested.
| |
| |

Duncan nodded, letting Axel move him wherever he wanted to go. He just needed to be close to him right now.
