Axel let out a soft breath, nodding. "I know, that's why I offered to carry you. You don't have to move," he noted with a small chuckle. He just settled down next to Duncan though, hoping his presence helped at least a little bit.

Duncan started crying, tears dripping rapidly down his face. "No... too close... too much touch..." he was trying really hard to stay verbal right now, but his mind was spiraling and everything he was feeling was already too much.

Alora knocked on the door before peaking her head in. "Hey- I was just-" she started but froze when she noticed Duncan crying. She rushed over to him, gently and slowly using her fingertips to sweep away his tears. "Hey, hey, whats wrong?" she asked gently. Duncan shook his head, "Too much..." he whispered. Alora nodded, "I hear you, I hear you, you just over did it hm?" she whispered. Duncan nodded. Alora nodded in response, "Okay, you're okay, you're safe," she reassured him. "Can I get Kai down here please?!" she asked of the guards outside. Within minutes, Kai came rushing down and knelt beside Duncan. "Hey, hey, hey, you're okay, you're okay," he whispered to him, kneeling next to Alora. "sticky..." Duncan whispered. Kai nodded, "Okay, hold on, I've got you," he reassured him before running to their bathroom and coming back with a warm damp washcloth. Kai cleaned Duncan up for him, and Duncan instantly began to feel better, but it was going to take a bit. Kai looked up at Axel. "Outside. Now."

Axel wasn't really sure what to do, so when Alorha came in and seemed to be helping, he backed off, just lingering nervously in the corner. Kai was there then too, and since Duncan was already overwhelmed, he backed off a bit further, despite wanting to help him. To be close to him, to comfort him. He was focused on Duncan, but when kai spoke to him he did his best to turn his attention to him, following him out the door nervously after casting a worried look in Duncan's direction.

Duncan watched Kai and Axel leave, worried and wanting Axel, but his words dissolved on his tongue. Duncan was scared and really overwhelmed, but it was helpful his siblings were here to help him. Alora helped him calm down enough so that he was able to stand and begin walking towards the bathroom. As Duncan was still shaking and overwhelmed, Alora gently guided him, only coming in contact with Duncan when needed. She kicked the rugs out of the way so that Duncan wouldn't have to feel the different textures and he could walk to the bathroom without feeling too overwhelmed again. Duncan settled into the tub, lights off, cool water, Alora sitting right beside him and only then was Duncan able to begin to calm down. Kai whirled onto Axel. "What the fuck is wrong with you?! You find out he's sick and this is what you choose to do? And then you just let him spiral and get worse when he's obviously overwhelmed? God, you're sick. You'll stay here tonight, guards will be stationed at your exits again. You're not to leave until Duncan is stable enough to tell me what he wants," he scolded him, whisper-yelling. When Duncan got out, Alora quickly used a very light soft towel to dry him off before Duncan came and scooped him up, making as little contact with Duncans body so that he was comfortable. Kai silently carried Duncan away to his room, settling him down onto his own bed, in clean silk sheets that wouldn't overstimulate him. Alora gave Axel a disappointed look before leaving him and following Kai. That night, Alora and Kai stayed with Duncan, no contact, just easy prescense.

Axel had expected Kai to be upset, but his words still sent a sharp pain through his chest. "He started it," he hissed back. "If I'd had my way he'd have relaxed, taken a nap, but that's what he said he wanted." Kai took no notice though, and had already stormed off again, so Axel just let out a defeated sigh and moved back into the room, avoiding Alorha's look. He knew what they thought of him. He knew what they were thinking. He wished this would all get better, that he and Duncan could figure everything out and everything would work out. But the opposite was happening, and he didn't know how to fix it. He sort of just crumpled into the corner, his legs giving out under him, silent tears escaping his eyes no matter how hard he tried to hold them in. What happened now? And what happened if Duncan became too sick to be with him? Or had to stay in the medic area? Would he just rot in here? Or would he be kicked out as soon as Duncan couldn't say no anymore? He didn't know. This was scary for him too, but he had no support. No way of saying this to anyone. He had to stay strong for Duncan too, though that was if he could even see him anymore, depending on what happened after this and how sick he got. He didn't sleep at all the night, he just stayed in the corner, mind whirling with dark thoughts.

Alora could sense Axels distress through her telepathic abilities. She waited until everyone was asleep before silently creeping down to Axels room and entering. She walked over to him and settled down next to him. She felt bad for him. What he had done was wrong, but she knew it was from a good place in his heart. "Axel, hey, don't cry," she whispered to him. "I don't hate you. Neither does Kai. You're not going to be locked up or kicked out or anything after this. Kai admires you for how far you've brought Duncan. Kais just worried about Duncan. He worries all the time. What happened was a mistake. A bad one, but I know you didn't intend to hurt him, you were just trying to give Duncan what he wanted. Duncan loves you, even now, I can sense it, his love for you is unwavering. I respect you a lot for being able to get to him like that. I've never been able to sense any sort of romantic attraction from him, and he's always been closed off, even with us. But ever since he met you, he's been so much happier and full of life. Kai and I both see that, and we both are thankful you're in his life. I've never had time to get to know you, but I can tell you are a great person. How someone like you can come from a place like that, I don't know. You've really changed his life, Axel. You're not going to get punished for that. I promise, as soon as Duncan can verbally tell Kai what he wants, which is going to be you, you're not going to be cooped up," she explained softly, offering that sisterly/motherly love and support she knew he probably didn't get much of.

Axel hadn't noticed Alora come in, but noticed her sit down next to him. Normally, he would have tried to hide the fact that he was crying - he could remember the last time he'd cried and someone had found him, and he was beaten within an inch of his life by his commanding officer. But Alora could read his mind, so he figured there was no hiding from her. He listened to her words quietly, wishing he could believe them. "I don't know what he sees in me," he murmured softly. "Kai is right....I don't belong here. I don't belong anywhere." He was bred to be an attack dog, raised to kill. This whole situation was foreign to him, and he couldn't help but wonder if it was all just doomed to fail. Death followed him everywhere he went, and now Duncan was in that path. And if Duncan died....he couldn't finish that thought. "I stay for him," he noted with a shrug. "And I'll keep staying, as long as he'll have me. But I will always be cooped up, in a way." The people would never trust him. Guards wouldn't either. Most people probably wouldn't. He didn't even want to know how visiting the town would go, if it ever happened.

Alora shook her head, gently placing a hand on his shoulder. "Axel, you might not feel like it now, but everyone will come around to you. The townspeople probably won't even care," she chuckled lightly. "Look, I don't know if you're too young to remember this, but our kingdom used to be two separate kingdoms, Day and Night Kingdoms. We were sworn enemies for centuries. Until, Kai, as the Prince of the Night Kingdom, fell in love with Camery, the Princess of the Day Kingdom. Kai brought her here, and everyone either hated her or was afraid of her. But only a few months later, the Kingdom fell in love with her too, and the two of them got married. She still lives here today, happy. She used to feel the exact same way you're feeling right now, like you don't belong, but now she rules over an entire kingdom of people who adore her. And I used to be criticized for falling in love with my maids son. My husband was hated for a long time, people used to tell him he stole the bride of a much more worthy prince, and he too, felt out of place here, even though he'd grown up here his entire life. But the kingdom came to love him too. What I'm trying to say is, you always will belong here, Axel. You are a good person. Our family already loves you, the guards and the townspeople will come around. You will always have a spot in our family and at our table, no matter what happens,"

Axel lifted his head to look over at her as she started talking again, nodding along as she spoke. "I know the stories," he noted, wiping his off with a sigh. "But they grew up in a castle. They knew how to act like royalty, to live in a castle, to operate on a normal daily lifestyle. I don't have that," he noted quietly. "The only skill I have is killing people." He shook his head with a dry chuckle. "I've already upset Duncan over that," he added. "I've upset him about a lot of things," he added quietly, gaze dropping again. "I don't know why he won't give up on me. Everyone else has. Even I have."
