Once she was stable again after having her vitals plummet, she looked to him and murmured "his middle name is sage"

I paled slightly, smiling even through it. "That's lovely, Malakai Sage Hummenaus." I mused, grinning. "If you'll um, excuse me for just one second.." I muttered standing and walking out of the medical wing and out into the hallway, pushing open one of the doors until I was on the balcony, the fresh morning air refreshing. "It's just a name, if anything it's in memorial of him." I muttered, trying to convince myself that's what it was for. -Or she's forgotten or doesn't know and just thought it sounded nice, it's a name for God's sake, get your shit together.- I dragged a hand down my face, forcing my thoughts elsewhere as I returned back to Kayla's bedside.

Kayla dismissed everyone but Gale and obviously the baby, smiling softly at Gale. "I thought you'd like that. The middle name. Because of...well, him" she said softly, handing the baby back to him

I smiled softly, pecking her cheek. "Thank you, I was...wondering if you'd just randomly picked it out or not." I murmured, taking Malakai back in my arms.

"I thought it'd be a nice way to remember him..." She said, voice trailing off in worry she'd upset him

"Thank you, it seriously means alot." I assured, still smiling.

She nodded, giving a soft smile

Malakai started sucking on my thumb, my expression turning quizzed. "Hey now, I think somebody's hungry," I teased, offering him back.

"He just ate" She groaned, taking the baby back and feeding him
| |
| |

"Already sounds like me, constantly hungry." -Speaking of, my stomach feels like there's a hole in it.-
