The doctor walked in then, looking at his notes. "Well it seems you were gravely injured and will be unable to have any sort of relations with your husband in that manner for quite a bit. The skin is nearly shredded from brutality and your arms and ribs shall take weeks to heal. I advise staying here for a couple nights before going home and being on bed rest for a couple weeks" |

"Oh please, what'd I do this time that you can't even look at me?" He asked, years of her doing small things like this--not even looking at him, going quiet, turning away from him--threatened to spill out. |

"The divorce papers should be sent to wherever you decide to live, and your bags will be at the end of the driveway." His voice was cold as he silently walked out, slamming his car door shut and driving off. |
