"I'm their general, I handle the warzones, you handle the politics. Malakai needs you more than me. Stay. Here." I ask again
| |
| |

"No." She said, staring him down as the pain skyrocketed and she yelped, gripping the hospital bedframe
| |
| |

"Are you hearing what i'm saying, Kay? About how Kai needs you?" I ask, biting my tounge as I swallow down a yell.
| |
| |

"I'm being so helpless here, though..." She breathed, eyes squeezed shut
| |
| |

"That's what you're supposed to be after everthing, and you're meant to stay and rest. I'll be back soon," With that, me and the commander walked out, splitting directions as I ordered two guards to watch her door, making sure she wouldn't leave as I slipped into my war armor, swiftly mounting Adonis before galloping into the night.

Kayla sighed. "Okay, love you" She said, sittin down

Eventually I arrived to the warzone and....yeah, it was everything I expected it to be. Bodies were being carted off often, making me glad that Kayla agreed to stay behind. My stomach twisted at the smell of burning flesh, looking back to see the way they discarded of the casualties here.

Kayla held Malakai when he woke
| |
| |

Only after days of fighting, yelling enough to make my voice horse, and enough cuts and bruises living amongnst my skin, did I finally return, Adonis's heavy hoofbeats against the cobblestone as I reached the gate, armor and all.

Servants rushed out to Gale, Kayla following slower since she was still healing but still carrying Malakai. She gave a soft smile at the sight of Gale
