"Get Adonis settled," I barked to one of the servants, staring down the other. "Assemble the War Council immediately, it's urgent." I explained, the man nodding before darting off as I saw Kayla. My expression softened, a smile taking place on my face. "Kay, how's my boy been?" I asked, chuckling at Malakai's babbling.

"Waiting for his brave father to return" She said, offering him to Gale

I chuckled, taking him before wrapping my arm around her waist, sneaking a peck to her lips. "How've you been? Anything chaotic happen while I was away?"

"I hurt. A lot. But that would be normal after having a kid." She said, giving him a soft smile

"Oh, i'm sorry I couldn't be here for you. Also, if you need or want to leave at any point in this meeting, abslutely fine, I promise." I murmured

She nodded, pecking his lips and taking Malakai back. "Him and I are gonna go to the kitchen and bake if you want to join after your meeting?"

I hesitated for a moment, nodding. "I'll try," The servant dashed back over, breathless. "Sire---we need to get going now, the War Council has arrived, and they're rather in a .... well, a rather violent mood today." I sighed, running a hand down my face. "Fetch my sword, while you're at it." I muttered, making my way to the council hall, pushing the door open as arguing yells died down simply at my presence, the door shutting behind me as my boots clicked against the stone. "Gentlemen, i'd like to thank you for arriving such short notice."

Kayla got his sword and brought it to Gale in the war council meeting, Malakai burbling and grabbing for the sword's hilt. Kayla's face was expressionless as she handed Gale his sword and looked over the war council. "You bastards behave or there will be concequences. Understood?" She snapped, Malakai wriggling in her arms. She looked to Gale. "Keep them civil, will you?"

The rest of the council flinched when she walked in, all standing out of respect to their queen......or also maybe because I just about well, um, threatened to give them the worst death imaginable if they didn't respect her. I chuckled, staying seated as I took my sword, sheathing it at my hip, pecking Kayla's cheek. "I'll try, depends how much of my opinion slips out." I murmured, chuckling softly.
