-Shit. Told War Council i'd be there for the meeting today, meeting with every council, even a few from other kingdoms. Don't mess up.- Yeah, no biggie. I carried on back to my room before slipping into a polished and unscratched set of darker armor, calming myself before pushing open the chamber doors, noting Kayla at the opposite head of the table, avoiding her gaze.

Kayla offered a warm smle, trying to comfort him since he wasn't the only late one. One of the general's second-in-command walked through the door, looking rather sheepish. He bustled over to Kayla, apologizing as she looked at him disapprovingly and gestured he speak with Gale, not her.

"Sit. Now." I ordered, not glancing up from the report infront of me.

The man sat quickly, not making eye contact with anyone. Kayla looked to Gale, letting him take the lead

I stood, gaining the room's attention before starting to speak. "Whether it's the general, or war council, or even the visitors we have from out of here, we welcome anyone from nobles to council members, and chairmen to commanders." I started, letting others take order.

The meeting was a long one that had Kayla stressed, obtaining a headache, and pissed off. Once it was over, she stood and ushered everyone else out besides her and Gale. She went over to hm and leaned against him, hands resting on his shoulders. "Do we have to keep doing this forever?"

|
"Yes," I sighed, looping my arms around her waist.

|
"I don't know if I can..." She muttered, kissing his jaw

|
-Shit.....now's not the time, you know me, Kay. - "You can, we both can." I murmured, flicking my gaze around.

She looked up at him with a pleading look
