"S-stop, I beg you!"
My voice was harsh, rough, desperate. Dragged through Hell and back.
The man grinned, walking over before grabbing my face, tilting it up.
"Tsk tsk, Gale. You are a interesting spectacle, i'll give you that. All this pain and still, nothing has slipped past your lips until those four words."
He grinned, chuckling lightly.
"Seems i'm making a break through."
I stared up at him, balling up my fist and throwing it at him, only for it to stop centimeters from his face, the chained cuff stopping me.
"Oh stop, now's not a time to act such a fool, now is the time for me to ask the question I have been asking for the past six hours,"
I exhaled out my nose, already knowing my answer.
"Surrender."
"Your."
"Kingdom."
~~~~~
"Gale,"
"I'm Kayla."
~~~~~
Kayla's voice echoed in my mind, giving me something to hold on to as I spat in my interogator's eye.
"Never."
The man reared back, wiping his eye until it was clear, driving his boot into the side of my ribs, making me collapse as the air rushed out of my lungs. He crouched down beside me, pulling something from his pocket, something that made me pale.
-No. No no no no no. Only Velora's highest medics make that, and they're the three that serve directly to me, who the Hell is betraying me?-
"By the look on your face, you reckognize this. Probably because only three medics who report directly to you make it, only on rare occasion---which has never happened."
The man started, popping the cork to the vile and grinning, the bitter smell reeking as it reached my nostrils.
"Drink up, Gale."
I dragged myself away, too weak to walk, yet strong enough to get away. A hand yanked me by my ankle, my nails scratching the stone beneath myself. The man laughed, the sound echoing in my prison walls.
"That wasn't a choice, smart one."
I started panicking, saying things I probably shouldn't have, and something I never do:
"Please,"
He stared back at me, waiting.
"I--I--Please no, no, please, anything b--but that, please I beg you, anything else,"
I breathed, my breathing growing heavier and shakier with each breath.
"I've always had one skill, and that's breaking people."
The vial was poured down my throat, the effect immediately taking play as my skin started burning from the inside out, a cold sweat breaking out across my skin as the poison rooted itself, the man walking out.
Leaving me with no other option except to scream.
