My back has been a canvas more than once. And one thing you can do with a canvas, is paint over it. My knees buckled ages ago, leaving the rope holding me up alone to cut open my wrists. The whip striked again, tearing open my flesh once more. It seared everytime it hit, and the cut across my face stung like a wildfire. I have been locked in this cell for thirty-six days. I've heard eight dead people's voices. I haven't eaten in two weeks. They're starving me to death at this point, pain wouldn't get me to tolerate, so perhaps death will. I'm familiar with death, i've been chased by it's often. I swear you can hear it, but perhaps that's only the voices talking to me. |
