Duncan shook his head, loosely wrapping his arms around Axels neck. "I don't wanna," he mumbled, leaning up to kiss him.

Axel chuckled softly, nodding along. "I know, but it'll be good for you," he noted gently, shifting to wrap his arms around Duncan and kiss him, but staying gentle and light so as not to go too overboard

Duncan shook his head. "You're good for me," he mumbled, running his fingering into Axels hair and continuing to kiss him.

Despite himself Axel melted into Duncan's touch. He hummed softly against his lips, warmth blooming in his chest. "We're good for each other," he noted.

Duncan smiled, continuing to kiss him.

Axel went along with it, but kept things light. More just little pecks than anything, and slow kisses. Cuddles. That sort of thing. He didn't want to do anything more than that, Duncan was pretty out of it, and he got out of breath quickly. Axel didn't want that to happen.

Eventually, Duncan was overcome with sleep and curled up in Axels chest, drifting off. Duncan was better just a few days later. He was sent back to his room and his normal life. One morning he was bathing, washing his hair but when he pulled away, a clump of hair came with his hand. He tried not to think about it and move on, but the more he did the more fell out until he was sitting in a tub surrounded by his own hair floating around the surface. Duncan began to cry. He'd hoped this wasn't what was happening, but it was.

Axel had relaxed next to Duncan when he finally fell asleep, staying at his side through the next few days. He stayed close even after Duncan left the medical area, and had been staying in Duncan's room for the last bit of time. He still had the other room for himself, but he preferred to stay by Duncan. He was sketching on the bed when he heard Duncan start crying, which prompted him to shift towards the door. "You alright babe," he asked, knowing he wasn't but he wanted permission to come in before he just...barged in.

|
Duncan flinched, startled before realizing it was only Axel. "No..." he whispered, still crying.

|
Axel nodded with a soft sigh, simply asking "do you want me to come in." He wasn't pressuring him or anything, but he'd do what Duncan wanted. Help comfort him however he could.
