Duncan just nodded numbly.

Axel nodded, moving to slowly start shaving the rest of the hair off. He made sure to stay gentle, of course, and not stress Duncan out even more. When the hair was gone, he hummed a soft "lean over," to him, steering him to lean against the tub so his head was back in it, and he shifted to rinse all the loose hair from his head and neck, so he would t be itchy or anything

Duncan did as he was instructed to. Once it was done, Duncan avoided the mirror, going right back to bed and spending the rest of that evening in Axels arms. Over the next few days he was still upset about it, but he'd come to terms with it. He wore knit hats to cover it and keep his head warm, but he still hadn't told his siblings. Duncan had been thinking a lot about what if he didn't make it out of this? So much that he'd written down a list in his notebook of things he wanted to do before that. 1. See the northern lights 2. A good night with Axel while staying in my limits 3. Let Axel touch my wings 4. Adopt a puppy 5. Go dancing with Axel 6. Tell the public about Axel One evening he settled down beside Axel and handed him the list silently.

Axel had just held him tightly that night, sticking right by his side the next few days. He didn't say anything to his siblings either....that was his right to tell them when he wanted to. When Duncan handed him the list, he read through it with a soft hum and a nod. "Alright," he noted. "What do you want to do first then," he asked, leaving it up to him.

Duncan shrugged. "I dunno. I mean, we don't have to start it right now," he mumbled. "Wait, I forgot something," he took the paper back and wrote down another thing to the list. 7. Get married He handed the list back, settling his head against Axels shoulder.

Axel nodded, chuckling softly. "Well, decide what sounds like the most fun," he mused, handing the list back when he said he forgot something. When he read the last line, his eyes widened slightly, pulse speeding up as he wrapped his arm around Duncan, who had settled into his side. "Is that a proposal," he asked, teasing him a little bit but also pretty serious. Because of it was...well, he hoped it was.

Duncan shrugged, "It can be," he whispered with a soft smile, leaning up and kissing him.

Axel felt his breath hitch slightly at Duncan's comment, not having expected a proposal but...well, he certainly wasn't upset. He just kissed him back, melting into his touch with a soft hum. "Then I'm all yours," he noted softly against his lips.

Duncan smiled softly, "And I'm all yours," he whispered back before leaning up and kissing him.

Axel just kissed him back, tightening his hold on him. He really was excited, and he figured it was pretty easy to spot. He hadn't expected Duncan to propose, and certainly not so soon, but he was glad he had. "We can take your last name," he added after a moment. "I never wanted to use my father's anyway," he noted. Duncan would know that though. "Does anyone know you were planning on doing that," he added, mostly asking about his siblings. Did they know? Or would they be just as surprised as Axel was?
