Auni could not have been more excited for this day to be over. She was glad the hockey team sat on the other side closer to the window because who knows what they talk about. She was a bit sad she only had one class besides homeroom with Theo which was study hall. At this rate he seems like less work and drama than her friends and she liked that. She didn't like being the center of attention at school, at home maybe sometimes... but she didn't care for the high school drama. Her classes were fairly boring she loved her teachers but not a lot of people she knew were in her class. Unfortunately, she has two classes with Austin but they don't speak. Auni was smart and she paid attention but just barely. Finally, study hall came around which was perfect because that means they almost get to go home. She took her seat next to the window that showed the field with a few trees and she began sketching it on her notebook. She then figured she should actually do work so she was reviewing the outline for her Law and government class. She saw Theo approach and looked over at him.

"Sorry if Kelsey embarrassed you or something at lunch... your her new phase right now," she said as she didn't want it to be weird with him. She had no right to be jealous if he liked her he should go for it.

"If you want to get to know her you can It won't be weird or anything," she forced herself to quietly say to him not that he needed her permission but she felt it was the right thing to do as he was capable of forming his own relationships while he was here.

Auni was surprised at first by his answer but then reality slapped her of course that happens to him all the time. Just look at him, he's the definition of perfect to most people. "Oh...well there's at least one thing that will remind you of home," she said as a small joke. She paused at his comment though... usually guys would swoon over Kelsey. But I guess since he isn't from here he probably has different taste.
"That's shocking, usually everyone goes for her. She won't be too upset though next week she will probably move onto someone else that's just kind of how it is with her," she said to him and then thought to herself maybe now is the time to at least attempt to get to know a litlte more about him.
"I kinda would've thought she would catch your eye, your golden retriever energy kinda screams I'm a flirt everyone come adore me," she said bluntly but then realized just how terrible that probably sounded

"I just would've thought with you being popular you would've gone for a popular pretty blonde I guess that's not your type tho," she said trying to sound a little nicer.

Auni gave him a glance as if she heard him wrong but nope he really did just say that Kelsey Hawthorne was not his type.
"that's for sure, so are you a French hockey frat guy then?" She asked him jokingly

"French people are hard to read, but if I had to guess you probably have dated at least 4 girls and have at least 3 back home that are drooling over you waiting anxiously for your arrival," she said making an assumption he didn't really give frat guy energy but he also didn't fully give geek energy either he was a unique energy it was different and actually refreshing for once. This was one of the first guys since she broke up with Ben that she's actually not hated their company. But based on his comments he probably has quite the crowd back home.
"France has a beautiful selection of food so I'm sure their women are just as good, if you will learn anything here it's that Costal Heights has the worst people in the dating pool. This whole school is filled with drama and trust fund babies." She said speaking from experience. Half the school lives in big fancy White House's or right on the water Auni couldn't talk much though because she was fortunate enough to be close to the beach. But her family didn't have everything handed to them, they aren't by any means rich compared to the Grande Avenue kids. It's the richest block in Charleston, you'll know it when you see it. That's usually where all of the parties are hosted.

Auni tried to hide the look of disappointment at his comment. 7 is a lot but she shouldn’t be too surprised. She’s pretty far behind for her age but I guess she’s also just been pretty selective at least now anyways.

“Wow so i was kinda close,” she said softly trying to act like it wasn’t a big deal.

She nodded in agreement “well that’s how they are here too, at least some of them. In my opinion personality will always beat looks. Learned that the hard way…” she said as she used to be a little more like Kelsey at one point. Fearless, carefree and someone people wanted to be with. Now she’s just cold to everyone and protective over herself. Some people at school would probably even say she’s a bitch. But they also never really took time to uncover her layers and find out why she is so cold to everyone.

“Do you have practice tonight? I’m probably going to have to take you my parents are working late especially my dad it’s the first day for the middle school too and he has a lot to do. I don’t have to stay and watch, I can find something to do,” she asked and didn’t want it to seem weird for him if she had to sit there while the whole hockey team made up whatever they wanted about her.

"I don't mind driving, mom would kill me if she found out I made you walk home so just text me or something when it's over," she said as she finished a rough sketch of outside and the the bell rang. Excited to get home to be in her own bubble she got up on a bit of a rush and packed up her things to go to her locker. She got her things and went to her car and waited for Theo. She probably should have walked with him to her car but she figured he'd remember where it was. Would it have been nice to get her car to herself...definitely usually on her way home she just listens to music but she felt like that would be rude so she just lets it play very quietly. Luckily the ice rink was super close. Auni has passed it a million times but has never been there. She's always thought about learning how to skate she did dance when she was younger but she prefers the warm sun outside than the freezing cold building with ice.
