Duncan curled into Axel chest, "You okay?" he asked softly.
| |

Axel had curled in tightly, nodding along with a soft hum. "Yeah," he noted. "I just...haven't been around that many people anywhere but the battle field," he explained. "It just brought back some bad memories." He offered him a small smoile. "I'm alright now."

Duncans brow furrowed worriedly. "Are you sure?" he asked gently.
| |

Axel just nodded, letting out a soft breath. "It wasn't like...flashback triggering. Just got my nerves all jumpy," he noted. "Now that it's quiet again Im fine." He added a soft "I promise," too, just to reassure Duncan. "If I really needed out or it got bad I'd let you know," he promised, shifting to peck his cheek lightly.

Duncan nodded, "Okay," he hummed softly. Duncan curled in tight, burying his face in the crook of Axels neck, lightly kissing him.
| |

Axel just nodded, giggling softly when Duncan kissed him, just curling in tighter. "Why don't we change into our pajamas and just relax," he suggested. "I know we're both tired." That way he could take off makeup, let his hair down, and they could just cuddle for a bit until they fell asleep. It sounded nice.

Duncan nodded, "Okay," he agreed with a sigh, getting up and getting changed before returning to the bed and curling up, waiting for Axel.
| |

Axel took a little longer than Duncan to get ready for bed, since had more stuff to do, but needless to say he was tired enough that when he finally did crawl into the bed and relax, it was nice. He passed out almost immediately, now that his nerves had worn off and he and Duncan were curled up safely together.

Duncan curled into Axels chest, drifting off. He slept soundly through the night, waking slowly in the morning.
| |

Axel was still asleep when Duncan woke, which was a little surprising. It was normally the other way around, though it didn't really matter in the long run who slept later. Either way, the night before had been exhausting, so he'd probably be out for a while
