"What?" She muttered, exhausted |

"You had something today, which I probably should've gone too, didn't you?" Caden asked quietly. |

"I'm sorry, should've been there and I wasn't." Caden murmured |

"It's fine. You were busy." She said quietly, her words hollow |

"Not really, if I can't support you now how can I support our kid in the future?" He asked, face blanking slightly as his words became echos. |

She shrugged. "If you don't want to go to the appointments, I'm not gonna force you" |

"Probably should I mean, what if something goes wrong or-or something's wrong with the baby and then everything just--" He cut himself off, letting out a breath. "I need to stop thinking about the bad stuff." Caden noted with a chuckle. |
