Caden just stared into the fire for hours,trying,so desperatly trying to grap a hold on reality and that he was safe but,he was'nt.Yes,he was safe from the gang but,was he safe from his mind?

Rose sighed and went outside to Caden. She sat in his lap, leaning on him. "You okay?" She asked, kissing his cheek.

Caden stared for a moment into the fire before realizing Rose was waiting on a response. "Uh what?Oh yeah,im fine.Just,thinking." He said abrubtly.Caden shut his mouth as soon as the words came out,not wanting to open up.

"Okay." She said, letting it slide this time. She sighed and closed her eyes, content to stay here. She didn't, though. Rose stood up and sighed. "I'm gonna head to bed." She said, kissing his cheek and walking inside. She went upstairs and laid down on Caden's bed, slowly drifting off. When she finally fell asleep, she regretted it. Nightmares flooded in from the past couple days, but her mind thought of what would have gone bad.

"G'Night!" He called. "I love you.." Caden mumbled.He decided to head in after a few.Murphy greeted him happily but he hushd the dog,going to the down'stairs bathroom to shower.

Rose woke up an hour after her nightmares started, shooting up and sweating. She glanced around the room, double checking that she was okay. She heard Caden downstairs, so she sighed and laid back down before tossing and turning. She couldn't sleep, maybe for the rest of the night

He finished showring and popped a few sleeping pills,knowing he would'nt fall asleep.

Caden grabbed the bottle of pills and headed to the room,knowing she'd be awake. "Hey," He said softly, "you need these?" He asks,lightly shaking the bottle.

She nodded, still a bit shook up from the nightmares. "It just.....came back to haunt me I guess." She said quietly, taking a pill and swallowing it. She looked back up at Caden, her features still having traces of fear written on them

"Its going to be alright.Now go back to sleep." He says as he cuddles up next to her under the covers,her warmth radiating. "Your going to be alright,im here.And i'll protect you."

"Yeah." She said, scared to fall asleep, but slipping into it anyways. She fell asleep, but had more nightmares, Caden screaming, her dying, him dying.

She woke up the next morning on edge again. She felt Caden holding her, so her heartbeat slowly went back to normal. She sighed, praying this wouldn't happen every night, she wouldn't be able to handle it. She closed her eyes, focusing on Caden's arms around her, trying to put up walls around the nightmares.
