She grinned at Caden. "Something wrong, my love?"

"Hm?" I asked, looking up and smiling softly. "No, i'm fine." I noted, chuckling lightly as Murphy ran over, leash in his mouth, wanting to go outside. I cleared my throat and stood, adverting my gaze. "I'm gonna go take him to run, i'll be back in a few."

I clipped his leash onto his collar, slipping my running shoes on before slipping out the door, putting my airpods on and a good running song.

I carried on running, letting my thoughts slip away.

Eventually I slowed, reaching an alleyway and walking down it, checking to make sure I was alone before slipping inside, unclipping Murphy's leash before snaking outside, waiting, and waiting, and waiting, until somebody finally walked into my trap. I watched as the man slipped by, unknowing of what was about to happen.

Around half an hour later, I slipped out of the alleyway, noting what time the man would wake, and what time Rose would want me back.
