"As the woman" She started, standing with her hands on her hips and going to him, attempting to take the rag. "It's my job" |

I hesitated and looked up at her, giving her a quizzed look. "What's the difference? You're still human," |

"You make the money, I clean and cook. It's simple logic" |
| |

"Logic I never wanted to imply," I noted, continuing to wipe down the countertops. |

She nodded and finished eating, taking care of her dishes. She went upstairs and started laundry |

| |

Eventually I got the kitchen cleaned up, flopping down on the couch as Murphy darted over, hopping up in my lap (even though he was far too big to fit). |

Rose finished starting laundry and sat beside Caden, resting her head on his shoulder |

"Hey," I murmured, pecking her head as I wrapped my arm around her. |
