Ally shook her head. "No, but i want you two to have it," she replied softly. "Remy asks for one every year, and to see him so sad this year... you should have it. You found it and you should keep it,"

Sage pursed his lips slightly but nodded, a smile forming on his face. "Thank you," he noted softly. "If people get curious we'll try our best to keep you out of it," he added, in case it got dangerous for her or something

Ally shook her head. "No, please, don't do that. They'll think you stole from the nursery and they'll kill you both," she warned. "Its okay, they'll just kick me out of town, it's fine, really,"

Sage winced slightly. "I'd hate for that to fall on you," he noted, not entirely liking the idea of blaming it all on her. That wasn't really fair to her.

"Please, it's fine, I'll live. If you don't blame me, you won't," Ally explained gently.

Sage let out a soft breath, looking down at the egg in his hands, suddenly nervous. What was he thinking? He didn't even know how this worked, let alone how to care for it. "Thank you," he just noted softly, glancing back at Remy before looking back at Ally. "We really can't thank you enough," he added, brows furrowing slightly

Ally smiled at him. "Of course, have a good night," she dipped her head and swam away back to the nursery.

Sage let out a heavy breath as she left, moving to slip back inside and swim over to the bed where Remy was still curled up. He didn't want to wake him, but he was excited. He eventually just made a little sort of nest in the sand, settling down with the egg, curling around it and waving his tail gently over it like he's seen the nurses doing, waiting eagerly for Remy to wake up

Remy woke a few hours together, glancing over at Sage. "Mm.. goodmorning..." he mumbled.

Sage perked up when Remy finally woke, smiling softly at his good morning mumble. "Hey babe," he hummed softly, reaching out to fix his hair gently. "Ally dropped something off for us. Why don't you come take a peek," he added, still gently fanning the egg with his tail.
