As a HEE artist who uses Adobe Stock a lot in my work, I always look for quality stock, especially for my backgrounds. Lately, adobe has just been FLOODED with these AI-generated, 3d rendered backgrounds (basically people just use an AI image creator, fill out some settings and click a button so it makes an image for them, then post it on adobe to earn money) which are more often than not SO low quality and weird to look at. More than anything though, I don't want to be supporting AI-generated images on adobe, because often these AI art generators steal from real artist's work and give them no credit. It just annoys me how much of adobe's nice backgrounds are now shitty AI-generated images. |

Clyde, I agree. I am now finding myself having to individually check each image I plan to use, and it's a PAIN. There are tags, but it's still hard having to sift through the AI images and the hand taken/drawn ones. |

Exactly, often get sucked in by a seemingly very lovely image but then I always have to open them in new tabs to do a quality check to see if they are AI.

It's just not fair that this many people profit on AI images, whereas other people spend hours and hours on their work. It's not fair to us as artists as well, be cause we are unknowingly supporting people who put next to no effort into their art. |

I think they are pretty cool sometimes! Like you said, my only downfall to them is such the low quality, if they where better quality, id live off of them. |

Zebz, I do agree with you, sometimes the images can be very pretty. However, I still think it's unfair to other artists/photographers who put a little more effort into their art and backgrounds for us to use as stock :) |

Honestly, I love those types of images. If I'm thinking of the same AI-generated sort of image they aren't necessarily low-quality but in a more painterly style. This works really well for what I'm personally trying to achieve in my art pieces or high fantasy work. You really can't find that sort of stock anywhere else and to make it yourself with bits and pieces from Unsplash and Deviantart would be VERY time-consuming. I get that the creation and crediting might spark some controversy, but if I'm paying 30 dollars a month for a service I'd expect there to be a large variety of assets to use, and I think the AI-generated art just isn't matched. |
