But honestly, doctors will prescribe stuff that isn't fda approved all the time. Biggest thing I see is the type 2 diabetic meds being prescribed for type 1 diabetes

yeah, turns out some doctors are trying to get medicare to pay for some pre-natal vitamin when there's really no reason for the person to be taking it...Plus it's a 5k a month medicine

If you look into Cheyenne Mountain Zoo in Colorado, I worked with their snow leopard for a while. His name is Bhutan. He's my favourite and he loved whipped cream. :)

Catalina,
Zookeeper, zoology. I'm working on a degree for veterinary work in the zoo. I've loved animals since I was tiny! Of course I've also been studying ornithology (birds) to help with wild populations and window strikes. :)

Eury,
Oh! I guess I misunderstood

Nah, more in the sense that emotional state can impact if someone has the potential to become addicted

Eury,
I suppose that makes sense. Can't say I'd ever start taking a medication like this specifically over emotions, but I'm sure some people are just in a rough place upon making that choice. Interesting class indeed!

Catalina,
Fun, honestly. Get to interact with a lot of animals up close that other people otherwise don't get to see. I specialized in big cats and birds (particularly parrots, also birds of prey). I also work with canids!

Some people are more predispositioned than others. There's a lot of genetic, situational, emotional aspects at play.

Eury,

Catalina,
I've never been toooo terribly odd after anesthetics. Never had morphine until today though, so I guess we'll see if it's any different lol

Hey y'all! This may be an unusual question, but I was curious if anyone else is into collecting/cleaning/etc animal bones? (any sort of bone art, articulating, and so on)

A bit about me for context: I started getting into all this somewhat recently (originates from my passion for paleontology, I think haha). I found deer bones in the woods at my parents’ place, buried a raccoon we found (it had died in its sleep) and dug it up later, and I also have been able to get cow bones from the neighboring farm. I’m not sure what to do with all my finds (besides cleaning them up), but I’m painting one of my deer skulls. I have some other painting/display ideas in mind after that.

There’s some good information resources on Google, but it would be cool to talk to any other folks on here who have this sort of hobby/interest :)

I'm not too knowledgeable on stuff like this. But, you should try selling your bones to taxidermy people and odditie collectors. There are many on Instagram like Taxidermy Auction (they do odditie things as well). They go live a lot and if you message them, they probably could sell your stuff for you :D

I have just recently started my collection! my coolest pieces are the two coyote skeletons (almost all of the bones) and I work at an alpaca farm and unfortunetly had a newborn baby pass so I kept her head (in my freezer rn lol) to boil down and have the skull
