ghost troted after ebony as she turned into a living bullet "any luck" he asked looking around for mystery before looking at dixie

Dixie shook her head. "Nope." She looked at West with a sad expression

|
West shook his head just slightly. "No sign of her at all." He answered quietly. - Ebony bounced up on her hind legs before bumping West and Dixie. "You'll find her! Walrus did a good job making sure I didn't die." She said cheerfully, grinning at the white stallion.

Dixie laughed "I'm not even going to ask where the nicknames came from" she smiled before pulling herself onto her hooves. She favored her back leg a little, trying to keep the pressure off

Ebony lifted her knees in a pretty prancing Trot as she went around the three. "Can I talk to you for a second?" She then asked West hesitantly, seeming to get more timid quickly. - West glanced at Ebony. "Sure." He walked a little ways away, out of earshot. "Yeah?" He asked - Ebony followed. "Well, I have a feeling Menace.." she shuddered. "Is my dad, but I refuse to acknowledge that. Could... could I call you my dad?" She asked, her big blue eyes staring up into his brown ones. - West looked down at Ebony before lowering his head. "Of course. I'm here to take care of you, Ebony. You're safe here." He said quietly, nuzzling her neck.

Dixie watched as the two walked away. She wandered down to the stream, her legs aching. She plopped into the water, letting it swirl around her as it continued flowing down to its eventual destination. She stretched her legs out before sitting up and staring at her reflection. She stared at her face. The bald patch covered her face, her right eye a icy pale blue. She smiled at her reflection, tossing her forelock to cover the middle of her face. +gotta show off both eyes now+ she thought as she maneuvered the hair to the middle.

Ebony's face spread into a giant smile as she cuddled up next to him with a happy squeak. "Thank you!" She chirped before bouncing off to Dixie. Her mission wasn't done. "Dixie?" She asked, tilting her head. "My mom was killed.. and I didn't really know her anyway. I was wondering.. if... I could call you Mom?" She asked quietly, her tail flicking. Ebony may act like a young filly sometimes, but she was smart. She could tell Dixie and West loved each other. It was plain as day. Sooo this is why she asked both of them.

Dixie smiled "really!!!!" She pulled herself to her hooves and nuzzled the filly "of course Ebony!" She pranced around like a youngster. She was definitely still one at heart. She had every little thing that could make her a great mother, she just didn't know to yet. She swished her tail "we could go pick flowers! Play on the beach and the stream! Race! Ooo we could have so much fun!" She tossed her head, joy filling her heart. She was still sad that Myster was gone, but now she had two reasons to be happy. West and Ebony
