As soon as Mystery left West's head fell to the ground and he blacked out. He was exhausted and injured... and he just wanted to sleep

Phantom looked around hearing a thud, she saw West passed out on the ground. -He needs that rest... It's been a rough day.- She looked around at the rest of the herd making sure they were okay before she fell asleep herself. It wasn't the best sleep since she kept waking up from her leg throbbing but it was atleast sleep

West stayed out all evening, all night, and finally woke up at about 8 AM the next day. He lifted his head, shaking the sleep out of his eyes... and then his eyes widened. It was light out when he went to sleep... and light when he woke up. West knew he slept longer than an hour. He staggered upright, realizing he must've been asleep for more than 12 hours. West's eyes flew around the herd, checking on every horse. Pain stabbed at his leg... but it wasn't as prominent as yesterday. His shoulder wound was small, nit infected, and already closing up. He still felt a Little dizzy, though he didn't know why. West just braced his legs, shaking his head, neck, and body

After the tenth time of waking up Phantom just decided to stay awake, she looked around at everyone then went back to laying on her side. Even though she was tired of laying still Phantom didn't want to get up and agitate her leg even more. She snorted unsure of what to do with herself since being still was really her only option at the moment

West took a deep breath, blinking. He was mostly awake now. He glanced over at Phantom. -Thank the Lord she's not moving- he thought. West was sure her leg would stop hurting soon... if she didn't put weight on it. He looked around again, making sure the horses were okay before half stumbling half limping to the river, taking a big drink

Phantom sat up she huffed looking around. She was bored out of her mind, she spotted West at the river. He still looked in pain but atleast his wound looked good and was mostly closed up by now. She nibbled on some grass that was beside her before once again flopping back on her side

Dixie had moved to a tree far from everyone else to the point that they were only small dots. -no one will notice i'm gone...- she snorted softly. she heard a rustle behind her as a horse came out from the bushes. Dixie spun around, half ready to fight, half ready to run. she stared at the horse before recognizing her. "Macy...? is that... you?" she took a step forward as a foal stepped out behind the mare. "Scarlet...?" the foal stuck close to her mother. the little one and her mother were skin and bones. "oh dear..." she nuzzled the mare. "Dixie... i don't know how we got away, but we did..." Macy managed to get out. she dropped her head and grazed. her filly did the same. the white mare was covered in bright red blood. fresh. the foal, an exact replica of her mother, was also dripping in blood. the two must have run from the herd that had intruded on her previous herd... -i have to get them to West...- Dixie thought

West raised his head, glancing around again. Everything looked fine except for Phantom being injured... West froze. How could he ... miss this? His heart gave a sudden, terrified skipping beat. "Where's... Dixie..." West murmured quietly, his eyes wide. He couldn't deal with more horses running off... he just couldn't. He wasn't strong enough at the moment to protect them if something went wrong, and they were supposed to move out to the plains today. If he didn't have the whole herd... they couldn't move. West pricked his ears and limped heavily towards the entrance to the valley. "Dixie!" He bellowed, glancing around and listening to the mares name bounce of the mountains

Phantom sat up real fast looking at West "What's wrong? Why are you yelling?" She called out to West worried as to why he was yelling. Phantom stood up barley putting pressure on her back leg, she stood up in case there was something she needed to do

West glanced back at Phantom. "Dixie must've left... and she didn't tell me. I'm worried about her..." He said quietly. Was he worried there were predators, or worried Dixie was lost? West didn't think so... he was just worried. He glanced around again, narrowing his eyes to see
