So last night (it was maybe 12:30pm GT) I was freaking out about my two matches, as they were hardly planned. I got some advice for them from a few friends (Thanks you, guys! :D) and slept fitfully, getting maybe 7 1/2 hours of sleep, which is very short for me. (I need my beauty rest!)
I put off getting on HEE until I couldn't take the pressure, then hopped online. Immediately I saw the chat was filled with other stables showing off their few WWWs, and saying how horrible this RO was for them. Naturally I started freaking out even more. I checked all the forums I could and asked if I should breed now or wait. The unanamous answer was do it. After a few minutes of procrastinating I told myself, "Do it right now, or ELSE," and clicked the breed button for my first match. That one was with my maiden mare Broken Halo, a WEW 1/14.
Before rating the produced colt, I went to his page. He was a cute blood bay with lots of patterns, and I thought if he didn't get a good rating maybe he'd be good color-wise. I went to breed approvals and clicked Submit, closing my eyes. When I opened them, my heart fell into my stomach. He had rated EEW! And not only that, he was 1/1! After getting over my almost heart attack, I went over to breed my second match, still shocked at this turnout. It was not what I was expecting.
I was feeling great after getting that W, so I didn't really care if this second one rated well. His dam was a now 9-year-old WEP 1/2 I had gotten a little after 191 RO for 5k, and I was hoping I could get her back on track after only producing Ps and a few Es for five ROs. I wasn't expecting much, but hoping for at least an EEE. The resulting colt was a cute grullo roan appy boy with splash and a few other patterns, and again I thought, "Well, at least he's pretty." When I saw his ratings, instead of my heart falling to my stomach, I just blinked. He was EWE and 1/2!
.
This was the first month I really tried to breed for ratings on this account, and I am ultimately happy with how it turned out! Not only did I get my first W, I got 2 EWE combos with stunning color! I couldn't have asked and gotten a better RO.
Obviously having more Ws and being fillies would have been nice, but maybe that'll come next rollover.
Thank you again to everyone who contributed to these successes, which includes but is not limited to:
Imperial Warmbloods, Blue Diamond, Draft Acres, and Angels Angels!

Sorry to everyone else who had worse ROs than they hoped, next year will make up for it!
Have a great day, God loves you (even if HEE seemingly doesn't)!
