Plot When a mare is stolen from her natal herd by a charming, tall dark and handsome type, she will do nearly anything to get back home. The stallion is determined to keep her hostage for as long as he likes, and the fact that she tries to escape only entices him more to toy with her escape plans. . Will she be able to find some way into fooling the stallion for a chance to return home? Or perhaps, something else will fall between the two. |

(Guess i'll start :) ) Lana walked among her herd, stopping now and then to scoop up some of the crisp, fresh grass. Her herd was moving west, for their grazing grounds had become barrin due to the astounding heat. She trotted up to the leader of the heard, and asked shyly, "If wheir not anywhare close, is it ok to take a break, the whole herds been treaking for hours without rest" The stallion simply snorted and turned, she took it as a big fat no. After moving along at a horibly slow pace for a hour or two, Bordom overcame Lana, and she edged farther and farther to the right, coming closer too the dense forest. Once she was out of eye shot, she turned and loped into the forest, making sure to keep her herds sent in her nostrols. she was now loping happily through the underbrush, after an hour or so, she came upon a stream, and drank the cool water greedily. Once she felt like her bones where snapping inside of her, she found a patch of thick soft moss, and curled up on it, intending to take a quick power nap. She woke up instintly, or so she thought, What scared her wasin't the fact that she heard twigs snapping not far from her, or the fact that the tree's where bending and waving with the wind, showing signs of a oncoming thunderstorm, but the relization that she no longer smelled her herd, it was night. She had slept through the entire day! |

Little did the herd know, they were being stalked from the shadows. A unique kind of predator, not one of a carnivorous nature, but one of their own. He has followed them from a distance, a dark and overwhelming urge drives him to keep close, but remain unseen in his persuit. As the older stallion led the group on by the forest edging the plains area, he prowls from the shadows. A darkness resides in this creature, urging him to give into that urge that seems to have the ability to take control of him. He eyes several of the mares, teasing the idea that one would become his target. He's picky though, as not just any mare will do. One equine catches his attention as she seems to venture off into the woods on her own. A pretty little thing with a mismatched coat, similar to his in a way. He's immediately intrigued and slowly makes his way towards the area in which she disappeared within the brush.
It doesn't make long for the stallion to catch up, the mare's scent dances in his notrils, exciting him even more as he quickens his pace. He find her drinking from the river, but remains hidden within the shadows of the brush where she could not detect him. He waits, knowing that at any moment one of the herd members could come after her, and then his cover would be blown. She moves on and beds herself down in moss. Again, he waits, not marking a single sound. Even once the herd is no longer close enough to smell, he refrains from moving forward towards the mare. This encounter would require a carefully thought out plan if he was to be successful in getting her back to his territory. |

After waking up, Lana treaked back towards the river, Deciding a drink could calm her fraying nerves. She stood there a moment longer, a uneasy quavering rumbled inside her, causing a wave of nausea to flow through her. She felt a stinging on the back of her neck, and turned, something was not right. A moment passed, or an hour, she could not tell, but the stinging and nausea never eased or faltered. carefully, she stalked back to the stream, reaching down to drink the crisp water. A moment later, dawn broke through the openings in the leaves and brush, and the folige around her glowed with beating life. A strange sent suddinly washed through her, and fear threatend to encapsulat her. Wanting nothing more to do with the woods, she turned and began her treak back towards the herd, wherever they where. |

The stallion hung back as he followed her trail, the rushing movement of the river was faint, but slowly growing louder with each minute. This was becoming all too familair for him. The mare, the river, the story he would tell; it was dejavu. 'Would it really be this easy again?' With a grin on his face, he stopped, allowing her to continue out of sight and ear shot. This mare was much older than the last, so he would have to make this story believable if he stood a chance. The stallion stood, contemplating his options. His cold pale orbs seemed to glaze over as if he had detached himself from his body. Clenching his teeth, he cantered forward in a zig zag motion, scraping the ragged bark of the oaks and allowing the branches to cut him like razors. His frame was forces to a hault when he finally caught himself on the pointed edge of a branch that had been split from the main portion of the tree and gave himself a gnarly laceration. Superficial, but hopefully it would be convincing enough. The stallion made his way back to the river where he watched as the drank and then took a few moments to herself to calm her nerves. HE almost thought he had been seen when her expressions soured and her attention was on the woods surrounding her. There was no doubt that she could smell the blood. "Hey, excuse me," He called out to the mare as she turned away to leave. His voice was weak and he gasped in shallow breaths to give the impression he had been running. He limped forward on his front right that was nearly stained red in its entirety from his injury. "Can you help me?" His gaze was frantic, as if he was waiting on his fictional assailant to jumo out from behind a tree at any moment. He stopped in his tracks once he had reached a respectable distance from the mare, lowering his head as a sign of submission and to show her that he meant no harm towards her. |

Lana spun arund when she heard a voice, She shreeked and almost ran back towards the meadow when a strange equine meteryalized from the shadows, But stopped herself when she saw his horrable bleeding and lacerachons. The equine looked horrible, he was dirty, and his right leg and shoulder where drenched in blood. He appered to be out of breath, as if he had been chased, and he kept looking at the woods behind as if his assalint would attack at any givin moment. Without a moment's hesitation, she trotted up to him so they where barly 3 yards apart and examined him closer, noting a huge laseration on his upper shoulder, he looked exausted and badly hurt, "What happened? Never mind, before you tell me, Is your attaker anyware close?" She noted his panicky expression, "Do you have a herd around here?" (Sorry if im not vary literite :) ) |

Sorry this is so short, I'm trying to finish art orders for one of my shops as well as some personal art for my HARP that is LONG overdue) . The stallion caught his breath, but his legs began to tremble, as if he could collapse at any given moment. "S- Stallion." He burst out between his breaths. "I- I think I- I lost h-him." He attempted to take a step forward and his wounded leg buckled underneath him. He was barely able to catch himself from face planting into the river rocks that littered the river bank they stood next to. He looked to mare as she got closer, peering into her orbs with pleading eyes. |
