Jackson Alex-Ren ~----------------------~ "Okay... Fair enough." . He mumbled, tilting his head slightly, resting it against the rock behind him as he watched Sage... He looked good. Jackson quickly looked away, focusing his eyes on a tree. No. No. Nope. No. No. You can barely care for yourself, you can't care for someone else too. Jackson shrunk onto himself. That was too true... Hell. ~ It was a few hours later when he heard footsteps. Lots of them. Sage had gone out to hunt... Why? Why had Sage had to leave now? He scooted back against the rock. Wait... maybe it was someone not coming out here to dump a dead body? Maybe it was the people coming to help him... Jackson gulped. Fuck. (Cliffhanger 😔) |

(lolll...what if there are bad guys and sage hears the commotion and jumps into the thing and winds up hurt? Just for added drama lol) Sage nodded in thought as Jackson spoke, sighing when he realized they'd used the rabbit from last night. This wouldn't cover even one of them...he'd have to get more. It was no big deal, but still. He doubted Jackson would eat, but he really should. It would t help either of them if he passed out....fuck, no, don't worry about that. They'll both be alright. He found his gaze to linger on Jackson for a few moments too long, watching the way his hair moved about the name of his neck. He blinked hard and looked away standing up stuffy and stretching before sighing. "I'm gonna go see if I can find another rabbit or two, and maybe some water," he noted after a moment, running a hand over his face to wipe away the lingering grogginess from his eyes. When Jackson agreed, he slipped off, murmuring a rather worried "stay safe," to him as he moved off. He but his tongue after that ...it had been rather unnecessary, but the though of something happening to him suddenly made his stomach turn. He shook it from his mind as best he could with a sigh, trying to focus on what trails he could find. |

☆°Jackson Alex-Ren°☆ Jackson frowned, shoving to his feet quietly... Well- shit. He scooted back slightly, biting his lip tightly. And of course he felt something press against his back. Which felt like... a gun. His breath hitched and he heard a voice. "Sit down. And no noise or we shoot." The voice said. Jackson lowered himself back to the ground, lips closing tightly. He felt sick again... shit. He covered his mouth, watching in pretty much horror as another person came from the way he heard footsteps. The second one is probably the one with the gun to his head... This was fun. He gulped, having a hard time breathing... wow lack of oxygen. His eyes darted to the way Sage disappeared, but they quickly went back to the fire as the two began discussing in hushed voices. Oh. So they were felons. Great. He was good as dead. And just as he fixed his relationship with Sage... welp, he hoped the other male wouldn't hate him for... uh... dying. |

Sage moved down the path, attempting to stay quiet enough the rabbits that scattered around wouldn't hear him until he was close enough to throw his dagger at them. He sort of huffed when a nice big one hopped off, and followed it slowly, trying to just keep it in sight. When he heard voices though, he sort of frowned, his senses telling him some was off. He wasn't sure why...he couldn't hear what they were saying, but....he just didn't feel right. And after the military, he'd learned to trust his instincts. They'd saved him more than once. So, he crept back towards the camp, eyes flaring with anger when he noticed they were at his camp, holding Jackson hostage. He kept from where he always crouching behind a tree, grabbing the man holding the gun to Jackson and quite literally tossing him into the rocks besides them. The others moved towards him then, clearly in an attempt to harm him, but he had no issues swirling around them and easily dispatching them one by one, face set in a grim way that almost made it look like stone. He thought he was doing pretty well, but as he yanked his knife out of the last man's chest, a gun went off and he felt a searing pain in his side. Shit. He'd forgotten about the other guy...he should have been out cold for longer than he was. "Mother fucker," he sort of huffed, scowling in a rather annoyed way, and checking his knife at the man, where it got him right between the eyes and felled him easily. "Don't be an ass," he added with a grumbled, sort of moving to retrieve his knife from the man's skull. |

☆°Jackson Alex-Ren°☆ Welp. Yeah. Jackson felt like he was going to vomit. Even more then before. Yippee. He very pointedly looked away from the guy that had a knife through his skull and crawled over to Sage. "Holy shit you've been shot-" He said, voice panicking. "Why the fuck would you do that??????" He questioned. Yep. Jackson was one-hundred percent. He had no idea what to do- this was not something he was used to- Hell- why would Sage do that!?!?!??!?!?!?!?! Jackson was totally panicking. He couldn't focus. And not to mention he hated the sight of his childhood friends blood- why would he do that!? "Sage- help me out here I don't see people getting shot too often-" He said, rambling in his panic. |

Sage sort of glanced around, making sure nj one else was going to pop through the bushes or anything, and then glanced over at Jackson when the guy had crawled over, doing his best to focus on what he was saying. "What was I supposed to do," he sort of snorted. "Stand there while they split your throat," he grumbled. He wasn't upset with Jackson....not at all....he was just grumbling because even though he'd been shot before, it still hurt like hell. "I'm fine," he noted after a moment, moving to sit down with a grunt, settling himself next to Jackson and peering down at the wound. "Take a deep breath," he added, moving to slide pliers out of a hidden pocket of the inside of his boots, and then a needle and thread from the hem of his shirt. It was probably evident as to why he had those things...he'd been shot enough to know how to yank it out and then stitch himself up. He was slightly shaky but not so much so that he couldn't close the hole up. He'd be alright. |

☆°Jackson Alex-Ren°☆ "Wow I did not want to puke again today-" He whispered, looking away. "Sage what in the absolute fuck-" He whispered urgently, fingers digging into his knees roughly, leaving half-moon shapes in his pale skin. Probably wasn't the best idea for him, but he had to find a way to try and not panic entirely. He was failing, if it wasn't oobvious.He felt like absolute shit. His childhood friend was in the military, just... killed(?) all these people, was shot, and is now about to stitch up his wound. He hated it. He felt useless right now. He was used to having the same routine, nothing different, nothing exciting. Just boring. Just normal, for him. And now he was here and he felt useless around Sage and in this situation. |

Sage glanced over at Jackson and sighed slightly, honestly sympathizing with the guy. "You know, the first time I saw any sort of combat, I was throwing up for like a week straight," he noted quietly. Though at his next comment he rolled his eyes. "Well it was you or them," he pointed out. "We just got lucky it hit my hip bone instead of somewhere deeper. Or.... softer," he noted, tugging the bullet out pretty easily and using a few stitches to hold himself together. "There. All done. Wasn't too bad now was it," he asked lightly, rinsing his hands and stuff off, now back to normal. Well .. normal enough. Walking could prove different. Then he winced. "God, I didn't even get food," he groaned, shaking his head. Now he couldn't get more, either. |

☆°Jackson Alex-Ren°☆ "Well yes I would rather it have been "me" instead of you being shot! Probably not for the first time either!" He ranted, looking up at Sage. He saw the male wince and hurried up, nails moving away from the indents in his skin. He quickly supported Sage. Also- hoping he didn't think too far into his statement. He didn't want to answer questions about his suicidal thoughts... ugh this field trip was worse then ever. He should have stayed home... well, one upside was he and Sage are sort of okay now... again. |

Sage snorted in response to his comment."and I'd rather it be me than you, so we're even there," he pointed out. Then his face softened. "Look, we're alright, and as long as I stay off my feet for a while I'll be perfectly fine," he reassured him. This field trip has been terrible...but at least they'd get a good story out of it. Though, he looked around and wrinkled his nose. "Maybe we should move camp a bit though. I don't want to be here if any predators show up," he thought out loud. He wasn't sure if he could really....walk though. They'd have to see, he supposed. |
