Sage felt his shoulders relax when he nodded, letting out a sigh. "You should stay in here," he noted. "I don't mind camping out on the beach or..." He wasn't sure what else to do

Remy pouted. "But I wanna stay with you..." he rasped.

Sage bit his lip. "If the ocean keeps you healthy, you need to stay here. I... can't." He wished he could but ..how could he? There was just no way.
| |

Tears brimmed Remys eyes. "Please don't break up with me..."

Sage shook his head. "I'm not," he whispered, planting a kiss on remys head. "But you need the ocean, and I'm not very well equipped to live here with you," he pointed out. "We'll figure it out, but...for now you need the water. I'll stay near."
| |

Remy nodded. "I love you," he murmured.

Sage nodded, pressing a light kiss to remys lips before letting him down where he could rest in the water but where it was shallow enough he could just lay there. He went to get a tent and such aonce it was getting dark and would also be cold soon.
| |

Remy gnawed on his lip as he laid in the water. Sage hadn't said it back... he doesn't love you, he doesn't want you, his mind repeated to him and after a little, he started to believe it.

Sage had sent up the tent, deciding against a fire despite the cold. He wasn't sure it would help remy. He stayed as close to the waters edge as possible, leaving shoes off and pants rolled up so he could wade back out to remy once it was all set up. "Still feeling ok," he asked gently
| |

Remy had curled up into his tail, just laying there in the shallows, still overthinking things, still not in a good mindset. He just gave Sage a thumbs up, not daring to look up as he was currently on the verge of tears.
