The young woman chuckled softly, rolling her eyes in playful amusement. "Hmm," she mused, her gaze lingering on him, examining his features with a mix of curiosity and something deeper—he really was quite striking. There was no denying it. A smile spread across her face as she sat up a little, absentmindedly pulling her shirt back into place as it slipped from her shoulder. "Maybe I should," she teased lightly, but then shook her head, the playful spark in her eyes never fading. "Although, you'd have to convince my father to let me," she added, a hint of mischief in her voice before her eyes softened. She glanced back down at him, the smile still tugging at her lips. "Speaking of," she added with a soft laugh, "I should probably get going... I need to go home." |

"Right." He muttered, getting up and letting go of her. His arms felt heavy without her, uncomfortable. He walked upstairs to get changed before coming down in a nearly identical outfit of jeans and a black t-shirt with a sweatshirt added on top |

She flashed him a smile, though the warmth in it seemed to evaporate as soon as he wasn’t close. Without his presence, the space around her felt suddenly cold, too quiet. She set about tidying the living room, restoring it to its previous state before the intimacy of the night had left its mark. The familiar task grounded her, and she settled down, feeling a sense of contentment as she waited for him to return. When he finally reappeared, she couldn't help but smile again, the softness in her expression betraying the little flicker of affection she tried to hide. He was... a good friend. She chuckled softly to herself at the thought. Actually, no—she was definitely developing a bit of a crush on him. “We’re all going out later,” she hummed, the words light and easy as she spoke. “My friends and I. We’re going to an escape room,” she mused, almost as if she were casually throwing out a suggestion. Then, with a playful smile, she added, “You’re welcome to join us.” She tied her hair up, quickly gathering the messy strands that had fallen loose, giving him an easygoing glance as she finished. She felt a slight flutter in her chest, a familiar feeling she was getting used to—though she didn’t quite know what to do with it just yet. |

"Sure. I'll come" he accepted, watching her. She was graceful and beautiful in every way. He didn't know where to take it yet, or even if his walls had fully collapsed. They would rebuild just as strong when he goes out, but hopefully crumble a bit faster the more he was with her. She made him happy to say the least, and he hadn't felt that for a while |

Morgan smiled softly, giving his side a light, playful bump. "I’ll come pick you up later. You’re on the way anyway," she said, her voice light and easy. "Probably around... two?" she asked almost as if confirming, her eyes bright with the thought of spending more time together. It seemed like he was starting to relax around her, softening, if she were to put it that way. He had done so much for her—looked after her, helped with her work, driven her home when she was absolutely drunk, and let her crash at his place. He had even comforted her after that nightmare, the kind of kindness that meant more than words could express. He really was just a good guy. She stood, moving with a sense of ease and familiarity, pressing a friendly kiss to the top of his head. As she pulled back, she offered him a small, warm wave. "I’ll see you in a bit," she said gently, her voice carrying the promise of the next moment they’d share. Then, with a final glance, she turned to leave, heading back home, already anticipating their next meeting. |

Morgan felt a rush of excitement when the idea of hanging out again crossed her mind. He was such a good guy, and she liked him more than she had expected. He was quiet, never saying much, and she could never quite figure out what was going on in his head. But he always seemed to know exactly what she wanted, and that, in itself, was kind of sweet. She smiled to herself as she made her way home, her mind drifting to him. But, as she reached the door, she was intercepted by her parents, their usual barrage of questions waiting for her. Where had she been? Who had she been with? All the typical things. She answered as best she could, trying to keep things casual, and—surprisingly—they let her go without much fuss. Later, she hopped in the car, picking up lunch for both herself and Caleb on the way to grab him. As she pulled up to his driveway, she sent him a message, her heart racing with the anticipation of spending more time with him. I'm outside your house, she typed quickly, sending him a snap of herself holding a large burger, some nuggets and fries... all for him. She the messaged him again. I didn't know what you liked, she added to her previous message. |

Caleb checked his phone when it pinged. Thx. He sent simply, walking to her after locking the door. He got in and smiled at her. "Hey" He said softly, buckling. "I'm probably just gonna stick with you tonight if that's okay?" He asked, grabbing a chicken nugget |

Morgan flashed him a bright grin, her energy easy and warm as she handed him a box of food. “There’s a bit of everything in there,” she said with a soft, cheerful lilt. “Take whatever you’d like.” Her tone was casual, but there was a kindness in the gesture, an unspoken generosity that seemed to come naturally to her. When he hesitated, asking if it was alright for him to stay with her that night, she tilted her head, her expression thoughtful but unbothered. After a beat, she simply nodded, her focus shifting as she eased the car out of the driveway. The soft hum of the engine filled the quiet for a moment, but once they were on the road, she glanced over at him, her tone light and reassuring. “I mean, we’re all going to be together anyway,” she said, her eyes flicking back to the road ahead. “You’ll get along with everyone, I’m sure.” There was a certainty in her words, as though she genuinely believed he’d fit in without a problem. A faint smile played on her lips as she added, “Just a heads-up, though—we might not be back until later.” Her voice trailed off with an easy cadence, the road stretching out in front of them as the afternoon light painted the horizon. |
