Once home, Remy went straight to bed, curling up and sobbing. He'd wanted an egg ever since he was 16, which was the age you were deemed an adult down here. He'd been asking for one ever since he was 18. Now that'd he'd finally been able to hold one... it just hurt so much more... that egg could've been his. It could've been his and Sage's child to raise together.

Sage moved to curl up with Remy, focusing on trying to comfort him rather than deal with his own emotions. He was just as upset....he'd always wanted a family, but down here there were rules. He made up his mind to ask the elder about it when he got a chance.

Eventually, Remy sniffled, slowly calming down. "... I just want to have a kid..." he whispered against Sages chest.

Sage hummed softly and nodded. "I know," he murmured. "I was thinking we could talk to your elder about it," he admitted. "She might be able to help, and she must support us a little bit if she made me able to be here with you," he added.

"Yeah... maybe..." Remy sniffled. He'd never spoken with Rosalie about it, but there wasn't really much she could do about it anyway, and they'd need to pay her again.

Sage sighed softly, just comforting Remy until he fell asleep. Once he was sure he was out, he went to visit Rosalie anyway....he'd found some things that at least looked expensive or rare while out exploring, and he'd kept them just in case. He grabbed a few bits and bobs which he hoped were enough before moving down to her cave nervously.

Rosalie heard the soft approach of the boy and emerged from her cave. She smiled softly. "Hello, little one,"

Sage had been looking around, so he startled slightly when the elder found him, but have her a shy grin and greeting. "I just....have some questions," he added, biting his lip slightly. "About a possible way for Remy and I to build a family." He gestured to the bag he had over his shoulder. "I have a few trinkets in here I could give you." He wasn't sure she'd take them, or if they were valuable to her but.....he was doing his best. He wasn't sure how this all worked, really.

Rosalie gave him a soft, sympathetic smile. She waved him off, "Oh, don't worry about that, you don't have to pay me for questions," she hummed softly. "Well, that's a hard one. I can't make a town give you an egg, but I could alter Remys gender, if that's what he wants to do,"

Sage felt his shoulders relax when she said he could just....ask questions. He nodded when she mentioned that was a hard one, but cocked his head slightly. "I could ask....he's asleep, I couldn't sleep, and I had questions...." He sighed. "He doesn't know I'm down here," he admitted sheepishly. He liked Remy as...well...Remy, and Remy probably felt the same way about him if he were to agree to a switch. "Couldn't you cast an illusion spell to make me seem like a new mermaid to make everyone else think we're a normal couple but we're still...us?"
