I think I have too many mares in my program, hard to brood them out and/or breed them all myself. I'm sentimental since they all trace back to my old mares, so I'm looking for unbiased input on who you wonderful people think I should keep or let go!
Babies (Mixed breeds)

Figure out what your goals are, and make a hard cutoff.
Sell anything PEE or below, or EEE and below if you want to be extremely strict.
Anything that hasn't produced it's rating or better- gone.

I agree with Puck, I would look at each of their production stats...if they haven't produced at least as good as their own ratings, sell them. Also, figure out what the lowest rating your willing to keep is, and then sell every horse that falls below the requirement. Culling is hard for me haha, I tend to hoard horses because of sentimental value, but I've learned you just have to make the cut if they don't meet your standards
Good luck!

I'm going to give you the simplest culling advice ever; if you think that *maybe* you should cull it, then you probably should.
Edit: Only keep it if you're certain it's a keeper!
I don't breed anything below WWE for myself and if it can't produce it's own rating consistently I don't breed it either (not including maidens and such who need some testing). That might seem strict to some, but in relation to my goals it's working and totally appropriate.

Thank you very much all! I think it will be easier for me to do this now, and I look forward to clearing some space in my barns :)
