Sage had moved along fairly quickly, but went through the streets in hopes of hearing people chattering. The more he heard, the worse his stomach felt. Once he heard what he needed to know, he pretty much kicked chaos into a full gallop, letting his long strides carry them to the castle quickly, where a groom moved to walk the panting horse out to cool off. Sage himself moved quickly to find Anya, wanting to figure out what the hell was going on but not wanting to leave the family alone either. But the best way he could protect them was to know what was going on ...and he couldn't do that by staying home. Even so, he wanted to be quick. The castle was abuzz...people had heard about the attacks or whatever, and apparently they'd been spread out across the city. People had even attempted to get into the castle. He found Anya quickly and made a beeline for her, humming a "please tell me you have more information about what the hell is happening than I do," to the girl.

Anya was sat in a small office room, pacing quietly back and fourth as she tried to figure out exactly what was going on. This... wasn't controlled. This wasn't planned. Was it really even a rebellion? They'd have gotten into the castle if they'd really wanted to, although a few had tried. Albeit, they'd failed, but they tried. A few of her maids had mentioned a few very minor attacks on very innocent people over the last two weeks, but it looked like almost over night it had all spiked. She was worried, very worried... something wasn't right at all. She almost jumped at the sound of Sages voice, being that it was so early in the morning. She stared at him for a moment, her eyes wide. "I- have-" she paused, gathering her thoughts before shaking her head slowly. "Why are you here," she whispered. He wouldn't be here unless it was important... and she didn't even want to think of him or his family being in danger.

Sage frowned slightly when Anya jumped, figuring normally she wouldn't have been startled by someone's voice. He normally would have apologized, but he supposed there were more important things to worry about, and she didn't seem that concerned about him startling her. He scowled slightly and shook his head, nose wrinkling in annoyance. "Couple fucks thought it was a good idea to try and ransak my house," he noted, plopping down into a chair. "Not important, they're a pile of ash in the back property by now," he added with a casual shrug, as if he were talking about setting groceries down on the table. "Point is, the streets are nuts," he mused. "I'm not so sure what sort of rebellion this is, if you could even call it that, but apparently everyone had the idea to take life into their own hands at the same time," he snorted. "I don't think everyone's working together....it would be easy to take them out." He wasn't sure a show of force was the best way to make peace with the people hurting down there....but he didn't see any other options.

Anya studied him for a moment, her eyes narrowing as he spoke before relaxing when he said he'd dealt with it. Of course he had, he wouldn't have left his family unless he'd made sure they were all safe. At least they were okay. "And none of you are injured?" She asked slowly, then shook her head again. The streets are nuts. Yeah, she'd heard as much... not that it made any of it any better. "So I've heard. It doesn't seem organised at all," she breathed, standing up and moving a few papers she'd been working on to another box. Her eyes widened as he said it would be easy to take them out. "Take them out? You think that's smart?" She asked quietly. "I don't think it's... If we start trying to take them all out we'll only have more problems in the streets," she murmured, shaking her head as her hand landed on her forehead.

Sage shook his head with a tired sigh, sort of slumping into a chair across from her after a moment, suddenly exhausted as the mornings events caught up to him. "The worst they did was ruin the carpet once I took their heads off," he noted. "We were all in bed so they only got to the kitchen before I got to them. Kids are shaken up, but we'll be fine." At her next words, he sighed and ran a hand over his face. "I heard bits and pieces this morning riding around....there's a couple different groups out there all doing similar stuff but for different reasons," he noted quietly. Then, he shrugged. "I don't know," he admitted. He wished he did. The right option wasn't clear. But he'd been threatened, and fighting for himself and for his family was what he knew. But Anya was part of that family, as was the doctor and att. Admittedly, he wasn't sure what to do here. This wasn't what he was comfortable with. And it scared him. He wanted information, yes, but he'd honestly really just come here because he had been hoping Anya would know what they should do. What he should be doing to keep his family and home safe. Because he didn't ...he felt rather helpless about this whole situation. He could bash heads in, but that was after they'd destroyed the house and threatened them all. He was scared. He couldnt show that to the kids or even Mari, really ...he needed to stay strong for them. They were scared enough without watching him freak out. But he did need someone to talk to .. someone to know how to make the right choice. The doctor was a good man, and smart, but he hadn't seen war. Just the after affects of it. It was difficult....Anya had struggled alongside him a few times. They could connect that way. At least, he thought they did. He could be wrong, and that scared him too. He was just a mess really.

Anya watched him for a moment, seemingly trying to battle with whatever he was thinking. As much as she wanted to help protect both him and his family, she couldn't treat this case any different to the rest of them. She couldn't act just because someone she knew had been attacked, or it'd look... bad. Incredibly bad. She sighed after a moment, trying to think of some sort of plan. She couldn't send people down there with guns blazing, it'd only rile everyone up. Things would get worse. But it wasn't organised. It was just... chaos. She looked back to Sage after a moment, her brows pinched gently together. "As long as you're all safe for now. You should have taken them with you," she breathed softly to him after a moment or two. She bit her lips, trying to think of something... anything. "It's not up to you to know it all, Sage. I'm just glad you're alright. It could have gone much worse," she mumbled, looking down at where he was sat. "I don't suppose you'd do something for me, though?" She started, glancing out a window as she pondered her thoughts. "While you're out there... talk to people. Try and figure out what they're fighting for and maybe I can fix it," she asked, her brows pinching softly together.

Sage hummed softly with a sort of nod. "The kids are still in the bedroom. Maris trying to clean some stuff up before we let them out," he sighed. "I helped some, but we figured I should come up here and see if you guys had any more information on what the hell is going on," he noted with a sort of shrug. He grunted when she mentioned it wasn't up to him to know everything though, knowing she was right but not really liking that he was clueless about all this. He did nod in agreement when she asked him to listen to people, humming in thought. "I'll try....if there's multiple groups I'm not sure how easily I'd be able to jump back and forth," he thought out loud. He would certainly try though. "I'll keep you updated if I hear anything important," he added with a soft sigh.

Anya nodded slowly, before biting the inside of her cheek. "We know about as much a you do. I haven't... heard much," she murmured. She wish she'd known more. She'd wished she somehow managed to stop... whatever this is. Whatever is going on out in the streets, where she couldn't reach them. She'd tried hard to make sure everyone had what they'd needed, to make sure that everyone was safe and well cared for, but obviously something was out of balance. "Even if you can hear from even one of these... groups... it'd be helpful. Anything would be helpful," she breathed, taking a seat lightly on the counter tops. She studied him for a moment, her head tilting slightly. He looked so... tired. It made sense if he'd been running around all morning trying to protect his family. "You should probabaly head back, Sage. Make sure everything is okay," she hummed, giving him a soft nod. "Rememeber I'm here if any of you need anything... even if its somwhere more secure to stay until we figure all of this out."

Sage hummed softly with a nod in response to her comments, sort of biting t his nails as his mind worked at how he'd even go about this. He didn't want to leave Mari and the kids for long, and he did still need to work and make money for them all. And he was worried about Mari working at the tavern too, it could easily be a target since upper class folk often visited. "Yeah," he sighed when she mentioned he should head back, agreeing with her. Hed been gone too long already. He stood up slowly, offering her a small smile and patting her leg as he moved towards the door. "I know," he noted. "I'll be back in a few days, see if there's anything else I can find out about all this," he added, giving his farewells before grabbing chaos and heading back home quickly.

Anya nodded, blowing out a breath. She... hoped they could fix this. She wasn't sure if knowing any of this would actually help, or if the problems on the streets were something she could handle, but she could sure as hell try. She just had to know what was going on. This shouldn't have gotten so bad - and she hated that she'd put her friends in danger because of it. She offered him a small, apologetic smile. "Thank you. And I'm sorry - about what happened," she breathed gently. She gave him a little wave as he turned to leave. "Stay safe," she called before moving back towards her desk, trying her hardest to think of... well, anything she could that may help.
