Sage chuckled and nodded. "Mommy and Daddy both like pancakes," he told the little girl, grabbing the recipe book. "Why don't you help daddy make some for mommy," he suggested

Liz excitedly nodded and looked at the recipe book, gazing at the pictures they flipped by

Sage helped Liz turn to the right page, and then just set her on the counter so she could help dump ingredients into the bowls and such

Amira moved to the bar stool and clutched at her torso again with a wince. She hurriedly looked up and put on a neutral mask as to not worry Sage and failed. She closed her eyes, using the last resort of keeping her face in check. Liz looked at the pictures on the page Sage had flipped to and helped crack the eggs. She dumped the scoops of ingredients in with a big smile

Sage kept an eye on Amira as they cooked, though admittedly had to keep a much closer eye on liz, who was thrilled to just dump random stuff around and they had an actual recipe to follow.

"Did I do it, daddy?" Liz asked expectantly, tapping him with the measuring scoop covered in flour

Sage chuckled and brushed the flour off him beat he could. "Yeah, you did great kiddo," he chirped, pecking her cheek and scooping her up again. "Daddy will handle the stove, why don't you bring mommy a glass of water," he suggested, setting her down

Liz nodded and grabbed a cup, filled it with water, and slowly brought it to Amira. "Thank you, baby" Amira said softly, her stomach and chest still hurting. She set the glass down and walked painfully to Sage. "Need anything?" Amira offered

Sage glanced over at her when she came over, shaking his head. "No, I'm alright," he noted. "Just try to get some rest, see if that helps."
