Gale eventually gave up, tipping his head back as Kayla stitched him. He peaked his eyes open and turned his head to the side, watching the moon rise higher and higher weakly.

Gale kept facing the moon, eventually realizing Kayla had finished. He turned a put a arm around her shoulders, wincing slightly but doing so for her. The man looked like a zombie, literally, i'm not making this up at all, I swear. His skin was pale, his body a mix of dirt, blood, and bruises. His back was whipped raw, his will on the verge of shattering.
