"They're not real, they're not real" He kept repeating quietly, going and shaking Kayla's shoulder, expression the same.
| |

Kayla kept crying and yelling, begging Gale in her sleep
| |

Gale shook her harder, saying her name.
| |

In her dream nightmare, Gale was now yelling at her, her name repeatedly coming out of his mouth as he hit her. She gasped, waking up suddenly and opening her eyes. She recognized Gale and hurried to get away from him, her hand going for the dagger on her hip

Gale didn't react, just kept his wide eyed expression as he stood and silently made his way back to the tree, mumbling the words as the voices slowly faded. (hes just fine lol)

Kayla shook with fear like she'd never felt before. "Please" She muttered under her breath, her mind and heart racing. She darted into the woods, throwing her dagger into the side of a fox that ran past her, the dagger dropping out of the animal as it jumped
| |

Gale stayed where he was, starting to overthink everything.
| |

Kayla dropped to her knees, crying-sobbing, really- and punched the ground. She was so tired of her past haunting her and throwing Gale into the bloody mix of her past
| |

Gale held his head in his hands, muttering the same words over and over and over. "They're not real, the voices, they're not real"
| |

Kayla wiped her face off and stood shakily, running back to Gale and sitting beside him. SHe took his face in her hands, trying to make him look at her
