Rose nodded, understanding the equal risk and reward. "But if you're right..."

"Then you'll be cured." He answered, keeping his voice down. "C'mon, i'd rather not get caught discussing this in a place like this." Caden said quietly to her, standing and finishing off his glass before leading her back downstairs back to the Bugatti. He climbed in and waited for her to do the same, tipping the valet before driving off, windows shut tight. "I've been doing research for hours and hours, and I think I know what you have. Maybe, though I could be wrong." (just gonna make a random disease name lol) "I think you have Velmora Syndrome. It's a almost cancer like sickness, and it causes all inhabitants to have lack of hunger, but it mainly attacks the lungs. Making it feel 'as though somebody was taking a knife to your throat and stabbing it over and over', or so other people have said. It only affects one in one billion people, which means its super rare." He explained, words slightly rushed as he clogged his brain with all the information he'd taken note of.

"I know what 1 in a billion means, Caden." She said, rolling her eyes

"Are you even listening?" He snapped, starting to steam but keeping it down.

Rose's eyes widened a bit before she controlled her expression. "Of course i'm listening" She muttered quietly

"Sorry, but good. So, you do understand that if you take this," Caden paused, not seconding as his grip on the wheel tightened. "either you live and go back to healthy, or I could ruin you even more." He finished, stopping at a light and looking over at her. "Are you sure you want to gamble that?"

Rose hesitated before nodding. "I'll take those odds."
|
| |
|
|

|
"100%?" He asks, turning onto their driveway and driving for a minute before pulling infront of the mansion and stopping.

"Alright, i'll work on it tommorow." He promises, getting out and locking the car before following Rose in.
