A car drove through the backroads, which was very rare as the road was used very little, and saw him laying on his side in the field. They called the local animal shelter and he was rescued. The shelter sent him to a large animal rehab where he was treated and healed. Eventually, he was put up for last-chance adoption. Jackie saw him and fell in love. He dropped weight quickly and his coat became matted. A halter was left on him all the time, which is what the scars on his head came from. His hooves were long and he got sick. A rare car drove through the backroads and saw him laying on his side in the field. They called the local animal shelter and he was rescued. The shelter sent him to a large animal rehab were he was treated and healed. Eventually, he was put up for last-chance adoption. Jackie saw him and fell in love. She rescued him and brought him home. Whist Ceri was by the paddock fence watching the horse, her father explained their situation and that Ceri had just lost her horse and the man sold Nitid to them. Ceri took Nitid home, where she just did ground work with her for a year, and then she started riding and flat-work as a 5 year old. Now at 6, Nitid is established on the flat, has done some pole work, and Ceri is planning to start some work with the jumping soon. |
