You can rename all horses in a barn or pasture under the Rename Tab in the little actions menu at the bottom of the barn. Or under View/Sort you can type in individual names in the barn under Miscellaneous

I'm honestly not sure what is exactly wrong here, but there's one rating missing on some of the studs, and some of them have the rating switched with the bravery rating, and only on a few straws.

It shows up correctly after you select a straw, though.

EDIT: This is ONLY an issue when using public broods in that breeding area. In my personal breeding center everything shows up normally.
