Kayla woke the next morning, her body aching but manageable. She sat up, stifling a wince
| |

"Morning," Gale greeted quietly, eyes droopy.
| |

"Morning. You should rest. And thanks...for taking care of me last night"
| |

"Can you move alright?" He asks, taking up her offer.
| |

Kayla nodded, a lie, "I'm fine. Rest"
| |

Gale nodded, resting up against a tree before drifting off.
| |

Kayla stayed beside him, tipping her head against the tree and silently crying. She had so much pent-up depression creeping onto her the past few days
| |

Gale slept for only a few hours, his sleep mainly nightmares before awaking to his mind unraveling.
| |

"Hey, you okay?" She said, looking at his expression
| |

"I'm fine." He said roughly, voice riddled with sleep.
