Timber's ears fell back some as he watched Riot move away and whimpering. -Well that didn't work- he thought. Slowly he stood up and approached Riot, his ears still back from upsetting Riot. His body was calm and showed that he was not intending to hurt Riot. |

*riot snapped his teeth near timbers face as he showed his fear. He was terrified of getting hurt and was trying to escape the abuse and trauma he had experienced from his father* |

Timber moved back quickly and felt his tail go between his legs for a moment and his ears lay back. -This is not like him- he thought -something must be bothering Riot.- Instead of trying to approach again, Timber sat down and looked towards Riot. |

*his ears pinned and his eyes dark with fear, he pushed himself further into the cave as he watched timber, his tail tucked* |

"I'm not going to hurt you," he says in a gentle tone, "I was just trying to find you since you ran off earlier. Let's just both calm down and talk, alright? No running or snapping at eachother." |

*he Nodded his eyes still fearful as well as his body language. He hated talking about his father, and often turned his back or snarled at his name.* |

-Should I ask why he is upset- he thought -No. That would probably make him uncomfortable or more upset.- Instead Timber thought for a moment before speaking again. "So, I've never seen this cave before," he says glancing at the cave, "did you just find it or have you known about this place for a while?" |

"I found it after my fath-" he cut off before he could say 'father'. He whimpered softly at the thought of his fathers abuse. The day his mother died as his father wanted pups and she refused. He shivered at the memory of his fathers anger turning on him. The cruel glint in his eye and he lunged at his son* |

"Alright let's change the subject," he said quickly as he figured out what Riot was going to say. Timber had met Riot's father before and had been the one to banish him after his attacks on Riot and other pack members. He also had been the one to take his life after Riot's father had ambushed him on a patrol once... "Uh," he said trying to think of something to change the subject to, "do you have a favorite prey to eat?.." |

"Not prey scraps" he mumbled softly as he hid his grouse which was half eaten but him.* |
