I'm not sure what to do about this, and whether or not it is an issue to begin with... there was an auction of which I had bid upon a broodmare in the forums. I was told the day before the auction finished that I had won the brood. Not too long after the post, another player had bid higher than I, thus winning the auction. Yesterday and today I had looked through my mail to see if the auctioneer had sent me any mail letting me know that I had won or lost, although I had already known that I lost, but found nothing. I had visited the topic's page and noticed a change of the horse's image, suggesting that the other player had received the horse, and I clicked the image to go to the page and see if the other player had gotten any nice offspring since I had been apprehensive to bid on the horse anyway.

What was offputting was that the owner of the horse hadn't changed, and the horse already had been bred this year... even though the horse had been auctioned off already to another player, with nothing in the post saying that the owner could cancel at any time without notice.
Now, is the owner allowed to do this even without any set rules in the original post? I'm glad I hadn't sent any money... but I'm worried for the other player that had won the auction, for I do not know if they had sent any money.

Is this more of an issue that should be discussed with a moderator, or is it not even an issue at all and that the owner of the auction had complete right to do such a thing?

If this was an auction for the brood of the mare, then the horse itself would never have to change hands. A premium member can put a horse up for private brood to another stable, and would not have to sell the horse for the winning bidder to breed the foal.

Can you link the horse in question?
