I think a lot of people think keeping live aquarium plants is hard, but most of the common ones you find you don't have to do any extra things to care for them. Maybe take out any dead leaves when they have them but they live off of the waste from the fish

Bird, With fish tanks bigger is actually easier, it depends on the space you have available but with the nitrogen cycle bigger tanks are much easier to maintain water quality, smaller tanks are more likely to have something like an ammonia spike happen quicker. Big tanks are much more forgiving. I have a 500L which I upgraded from. 300L. Those are both too big for a betta though so don’t think you need that. 5-10g will be perfect

That is literally where they originate. It isn't spreading anything. They originate from thailand and asia and live in stagnant pools.

I just wanna jump in to say the ‘live in puddles’ part is a harmful notion to be spreading, 2.5g is the absolute bare minimum, 5g is the ideal minimum

@Angels, can I get a photo of it? Did you cycle the tank with the live plants beforehand?

I have mine in a 2.5 gallon with some rocks a small filter and bubbler and I do have live plants but it isn't necessary. The only reason people recommend live plants is the plastic ones can tear their fins, but you can also get the silk ones. In the wild they literally live in puddles so they are fine with anything, but obviously you want to take care of them lol

@Angels, really? Can I ask what your setup is? I feel like it sounds really complicated because everyone reccomends live plants.

I have been working very hard this year to win one of my stally's a breeding award (or the one that shows up under my avatar and under his achievements), but I don't really understand how I win it or what I really do to win it. I have been breeding him to countless mares, and his foals have all over P ratings, so I think he will get one, but how do I even strive for one, and if I already am on the right track, how do I make it an even higher chance?

Breeding awards are given out to horses that land on any of the LBs.
There's no way 100% sure way to win an award, except for breeding excellent horses.
It he's strong enough, he could land on a LB and win an award. Sometimes horses with good production don't end up on LBs though, so you'll have to keep on breeding and hope for good horses that land on the LBs.
You seem to be on the right track, and awards aren't won overnight. :)
Keep breeding and you'll get awards someday.

***An important thing to note is that 99% of the time, horses hit LBs their freshman year. If they didn't make it on then, they likely won't make it on one ever.

Thanks Keeper!

I know what a freshman is, but i'm trying to figure out if I should start on a new, young horse or keep going with his boy. He seems to be doing really well, so lets cross our fingers:)

The stallion leader boards are based 75% on the stallion's strength and 25% on the foals outcome. So how strong the stallion is plays a big part on leader board standings.

A stallion can produce fairly consistent ratings but it doesn't mean he is strong, especially since there is a range for each type of rating. Example a sub-par could be something like 1-10 "points", 1 being the weakest of sub-pars and 10 being the strongest, maybe a point away from being average.

Releasing poorly rated foals can help a stallion's standings as well.

And depending on your stallion's rating himself, you have to consider how many other hundreds of horses are competing for the leader board every month. There is only 100 spots for stallions out of how many thousands of horses in the game. Anything below EEE is very unlikely to be on any of the eventing boards, just because they are too competitive.

Like Keeper of the Lost says. If a horse does not end up on the leader board their first breeding season. The odds of that horse ever showing up on the leader boards are extremely, extremely rare.

I'm going to assume you are talking about your Stallion Jazzy Rider. I just checked the leader board and it looks like he is sitting at #44 on the AA dressage leaderboard.

A Stallion needs at least 10 foals to show up on the leaderboards. So it if a Stallion just didn't get tested enough it is possible for them to show up after their freshman year. Which is what it looks like what happened with your boy because he is producing well for dressage.

You can check the respective breed LBs. (If it's ISH, go to the LBs and click 'Top Sires Eventing' and then choose Irish Sport Horse)
If it's on a specific LB like Dressage or jumping, there are options for that, too. You'll have to choose "Top Sires Dressage" and then choose the breed to check that.
