yeah i definitely recommend it, especially as someone who has a color program!

it can help you understand or get more interested in genetics and once you understand it, its *usually* easy money... (unless of course you have a caveman brain like i did tonight XD)

They're tack decoration items that you can put on your horse! Here's an example - these are foal pearls but adult pearls look the same

This is not only for pricing suggestions, but to see if there is any interest in him.
I have some questions about my SD WASub ISH colt, Gun Time.
.
1. Is there any interest in straws from him?
2. What should I price them at?
.
More questions:
3. Should I be the one to test him, or should I ask other members to for a lower price?
4. Is his training good?
5. Is there demand of SD ISH right now?
6. How exactly do you test freshman?
.
Please help me if you know!
.
Thanks!

Given how he switched to dressage late, it might be hard to stud him out. Demand is probably low, id just set is requirements to Esubsub and probably have his stud fee at 0. Although your probably better off testing him yourself.

Unfortunately, like Cozmic said, with his training being switched, there's no way to really say how "good" he is. For example, as an SD breeder, I watch for my horses to be 333 on week 7 and cull anything that doesn't meet that benchmark. So at first glance, seeing a stud that was 322 on week 7, I wouldn't use him.

It's most likely going to be up to you to breed him to ten E or W mares his freshman year and see if he gets on the LBs (a stud has to have ten foals before he'll show up on the LB). If he does, you might be able to ask more than 0 for public breeding/straws, otherwise he's not going to get much interest. There are a TON of SD ISH out there and even the top LB studs usually don't get more than 10k per public cover.

Best of luck. He may surprise you, you never know. The fun of SD is that even if you have to use outside broods to hit the 10 foal mark, they are relatively cheap at 2-5k per mare.
