Name : Duchess - breed : Quarter Horse - age : 7 - height : 14hh - coat description : shiny buckskin mare, no markings/patterns, she is relatively average, though she has a smaller head, and a little scar on the front if her face and her front hoof due to the fire. She's got amber brown eyes, and all black hooves - formerly a : show jumper - personality : spunky but sweet, she can seem prickly from the outside, but she is fiercely loyal to those close to her. She loves to gallop full out through the forests and fields, jumping over fallen logs and debris like she has wings. - Likes : biting and bucking, open fields, sunny days, and light breezes - Dislikes : snow. 90% of humans. (He was originally a mare named Noelle, but I couldn't pass up this sheet so I switched his sister for him.) Name: Noble's Fright (Noble) Gender: Stallion Age: 6 Breed: Akhal-Teke Appearance: Noble is the epitome of the iconic, classic Akhal-Teke, yet he’s unique in his own way. Noble has the shimmery golden coat, yet he has a short silver mane and tail, a light blanket of sooty on his sounders and back, and an irregular blaze. He has three socks, but his right front hoof is black. He has deep brown eyes. He’s 15.4 hands tall Personality: Noble is very high-strung, making it hard for him to stand still. He gets bored easily, often running around the field or rolling in grass. He’s kind to strangers, but if you make him mad, He will become agressive. He is very protective of those he loves the most, often fighting for them and severely injuring himself in the process. Great! And, Not at all! *clears throat* ( for some context they both escaped a barn fire, and now live wild) - Duchess always loved the wind in her mane, galloping across the open field she and noble had come across, she felt almost like she was flying, as noble tailed closely behind. They reached the end of the opening, and duchess turned "This place is amazing! This has to be the largest field we've come across, I missed that feeling of just running forever." She looked out towards the skyline above the field as the breeze blew. Suddenly, she turned to him, "do...do your hear a stream?" She asked, as they wandered into the forest behind the field. |

Noble kept his head high as he followed Duchess. His eyes darted around before they had even stopped running. His nostrils flared. he wasn't used to these new sights and smells, and quite frankly, he didn't like them. He snorted softly, swishing his tail. He nodded at Duchess's words. His ears had already picked up the sound of gurgling water, but he didn't want to sound cocky so he bumped her shoulder with his own. "Let's find it" he offered with a slight British accent he had acquired from his long visit the year before. Noble followed Duchess where ever she went, his ears flicking here and there. He picked up a trot as the sound grew louder. "Water!" he cheered, launching himself into a gallop then sliding to a stop beside the stream's edge. he lowered his head and took a long drink, allowing Duchess to finish before he trampled through the clear water, turning it a mucky shade of brown. |

Duchess took a good long sip before noble sloshed through, "noble!" She laughed, as she joined in, rolling around in the cool water, thankful for the sweet sanctuary. Noble jumped out of the stream, duchess hoped up right behind him, following him to a healthy patch of grazing grass, where she happily plunged her head down to graze. As noble lowered his head she gave him a little up in the shoulder "that's for earlier" she laughed before returning to her meal |

Noble chuckled as Dutchess rolled in the water, turning her shiny coat dull. He tossed his head and stepped out of the stream, shaking off the spray he had gotten from Dutchess. He lowered his head as he followed her to a small field of lush grass, He was about to nibble on some when she bumped hi shoulder. He chuckled and shifted to the side, the tension in his muscled dissipating. His ears never stopped moving, his eyes continually scanning the surrounding area. "I don't really like it here." He said suddenly as he raised his head. He could sense something... something bad? He looked up at a group of flying specks. As the specks seemed to get closer, he noticed they were birds. His muscles relaxed as the birds flew away, though he caught the flash of red. |

Duchess looked up as Noble squinted at the birds. It seemed so serene out here, nothing like it was back at the barn, and it was especially welcome after the chaos and trauma of the fire. Duchess turned to Noble, "They're beautiful aren't they." She stepped towards the birds, now specks growing ever smaller, the wind blowing her mane behind like a fairytale, "Sometimes i wish i had wings like a bird, to fly over all of the fields, not a care in the world. Not to mention the easy emergency exit from predators!" She giggled, Before a stiff expression fell over her face, "but i know what you mean, It looks so perfect, but it just feels... off" just then she flicked her ears forward, surveying the surrounding area. "Noble, Do you....Do you feel like we're being... watched?" Duchess shot him a glance as she backed out of the wooded area, eyes quickly darting across the trees, hoping to find something, anything, yet also wishing it was nothing. |
