I have always wanted a horse. I can 100% buy one right now but I know that the cost of the food, vet, shelter etc I don't have at the moment or at least I don't have enough that im comfortable that if something happened I can cover it. So I will wait :)

The least expensive part of purchasing a pup is the price of the pup. As you said if they can't afford vet bills, food etc they shouldn't have a dog

Oh geez. I always tell people animals and pets are a privilege and definitely not a right. So if you can't afford them or won't take care of them don't get them. It's simple. I breed Irish Setters and my application process is rigorous. If they complain about the cost upfront then I won't sell them a pup. If you can't afford the purchase price of a dog then you are in for a treat when you realize how much vet bills, food, grooming, and training cost.

Fawn it’s unfortunate for sure. Here we don’t barely ever get in actual pregnant dogs, we just get the puppies dumped in town >.> the rescues here are bad to let them be born to use as fundraising tools

I have not had an opportunity yet to have bred an EEE rated horse and watch their rating grow with them.I have seen many who have tracked their EEE rated horses and have been watching them trying to learn what I can.Today while tracking the training on my young horses just coming into the age for tracking.I have one EPP filly that was up 5 in week 4. How often does this happen?I have seen many EEE LB horses that have not rated like this at this age. Her Sire is a LB PON stallion.I keep going back and checking things to see if I saw things right. I am thinking of keeping her and watching her closely to see how she tracks as an adult.

It's fairly rare, especially for an EPP, but it suggests that her heart is going to be ridiculously low. I wouldn't treat her any differently than any other EPP, but I wouldn't be surprised if she hits some SD boards...

Assuming this horse has never participated in any clinics that would prompt training boosts, I would go against what White Crown said. 5 up week 4 is quite rare in EEEs and generally signifies that the horse has very high leaderboard potential. Since she is an EPP, I'm not totally sure how that will translate on the leaderboard (I've never seen this happen), but I would personally treat this mare as a quality breeding horse with potential.

It's not totally impossible for EPPs and co to hit leaderboards. I believe Toast/Andraste had a PEP TBLB mare, and I know a few PEE combos that have been high LB, including one of my own who was a top ABLB boy for some of his life. (for reference these occurrences were in the past 2 years or so, so they are still pretty up to date.)

If I were you, I would invest in getting this mare to some nice high LB stallions for the next few seasons until she turns 5, to try to maximize her potential LB quality. Most stallions have PEE+ breeding reqs, but you can definitely message owners and see if they will lower them for you based on her training. They may not, but its totally worth an ask.

Overall, I could be totally wrong and she could just be a random training fluke, but I genuinely think she has LB potential, or at least high SD potential. Good luck!

Thank you for your thoughts. I was thinking she was rare but I have not paid much attention to training until recently. I will at minimum keep a close eye on her and see how she trains up. Possible try a LB stallion on her. Need to save up some ebs for that.

She has had no special attention. She was in my foal- 2 year old barn with all the others until this morning when I decided to start getting ready for RO and placed her in the mare barn along with the other 2 year olds. I have seen some nice PEE combos have nice training but for a single E that struck me as odd.
