Yeah I think its the colour/gelds/random keepers that drag LB placings down as it's done on the average. If you only breed a few high quality foals a year you'd probably do better than someone breeding 10 WWWs but also 600 PPPs they keep back

Fodder foals get deleted during the following RO. So they stick around for a montg

But fodder foals get released/deleted quite promptly don't they? Whereas geldings stick around for like.. a year

I produce tons of AAs for geldings, but maybe that's bad for my LB placement? xD

I suppose if you have lots of horses that probably helps, as it says 'average stats of living AA foals'?

Yeh. I am also #1 X breeder as of this RO. And I wasn't even on the LB before

So, I've been reading up on horse genetics for RL. And came across something that's interesting. We all know that having homozygous WW results in Lethal white. But in RL, homo Rn results in a foal dying in the womb. Is this an oversight in the genetics?

I had a look and it seems that although that used to be thought to be true, it's not actually true.

"Although it has been suggested that Roan is a homozygous lethal, evidence from the Quarter Horse breed indicates otherwise. Production records have documented the existence of Roan Quarter Horses that produce 100% Roan foals. DNA tests have confirmed homozygosity in the genomic region that contains the Roan gene."

EDIT: I'm happy to be proven wrong because all i did was google search :P

Gemini is correct. It stems from the fact that a heterozygous roan and a homozygous roan both look very similar. So, people kinda thought that since there wasn't any noticeable difference, that homozygous roans didn't exist.
