I have always wanted a horse. I can 100% buy one right now but I know that the cost of the food, vet, shelter etc I don't have at the moment or at least I don't have enough that im comfortable that if something happened I can cover it. So I will wait :)

I'm looking at getting an AM puppy from a reputable breeder in Texas in the next few years and can't wait!

Our intake this week: 9 dumped puppies, 9 kittens, 2 adult cats, 2 puppies found in the highway, 1 dumped pit, 5 baby birds taken to rehab, and 1 senior chihuahua found loose

The least expensive part of purchasing a pup is the price of the pup. As you said if they can't afford vet bills, food etc they shouldn't have a dog
Athelwood Estates

Oh geez. I always tell people animals and pets are a privilege and definitely not a right. So if you can't afford them or won't take care of them don't get them. It's simple. I breed Irish Setters and my application process is rigorous. If they complain about the cost upfront then I won't sell them a pup. If you can't afford the purchase price of a dog then you are in for a treat when you realize how much vet bills, food, grooming, and training cost.

Fawn it’s unfortunate for sure. Here we don’t barely ever get in actual pregnant dogs, we just get the puppies dumped in town >.> the rescues here are bad to let them be born to use as fundraising tools

Thoughts? Critiques? I've been practicing.

If I were to reopen my shop (should I?) What tier should I be in? What would be fair prices?

Edit: some credits

I would still pop the credits on there, since you technically have published the image ;)

Not hard to just pop them on and then hide the layer while you're actually working.

Critique time!
The horse's lighting is a good foundation - adding a touch of light to the shoulder/withers may help give the horse some definition, and fit with how bright that highlighting is on its back. (Right now, the horse seems just a little out of whack with the backgrounds lighting)

The composition is alright, and I enjoy how you have placed the horse to be crossing the stream.

With that though - Might want to add some splashes! :D If you're not confident on drawing them, there are DA stock artists who provide pre-cut splash effects you could put to good use here. Really add some motion and cement the horse in the background realistically.

The mane and tail are nice! They fit well with the smoothed style you chose for the horse.

Lighting: The color of the horses lighting is on-par with the background :D

EDIT: Unsure if they were added while I was writing or if I just missed them.. but the credits are really hard to read with the font you chose. I'd either brighten them so they are more easily legible, or pick a different font.

If you zoom in, I painted splishes on the feet ;)

Thanks :DD. I'll brightest the credits :D

I would say Tier 1 at 30-45k would be okay.
