'West! I... I don't know how I got out here. I woke up here.' She sniffled. 'Oh West,' she practically whispered. 'I was so scared.' She trottted over to him and nuzzled his neck affectionately. 'Thank you.'

West scanned Dream quickly to make sure she was okay, his gentle brown eyes showing concern. "Well I'm here now, and I know where the herd is. We can be back there quickly. You said you just woke up here?" He paused to think for a moment. "I guess you could've sleep walked..." He mumbled before turning his attention back to her and nudging her neck. "Hey, but I found you, so yay." He said with a smile. "Let's go back."

Harmony took a deep breath and closed her eyes, still pressing her nose to Cosmo's. "When I was 2, the humans put me in with a stallion, because they wanted another horse. I ended up getting bred, and about a year later, I had a beautiful little Filly. She was a Red dun, like me, but had tall socks, like her sire. She was bouncy, and high spirited, I loved her so much. I got some time off of work, because I needed to feed her quite often. Until she got older. Then they took her away from me every night, and put her in the barn." She locked eyes with him, looking for comfort, and was very thankful when she saw it. "Which, I was fine with. I could nuzzle noses with her, and she was warmer. Until one night, when the barn caught fire." She let out a shuddering breath "she and a few other horses were burnt alive. I can still remember her high-pitched whinnys for help."

'Sleep walking? I suppose...' she started to follow him. 'West... why did you come to look for me? Do I... do I matter that much to you?' She paused, shifting her ears nervously. 'Do you hear that?' A branch snapped in the undergrowth around them and her ears kept swiveling, trying to pinpoint what it was and where it was coming from. She had an impeccable sense of hearing but couldn't make out the sound. 'West... come here...' she gestured to her side. 'There's something over there.' She took a cautious step towards the undergrowth and swiveled her ears, wondering if West had hung back or was still by her rump. Another twig snapped and a bobcat jumped out of the bush at her. 'AH!' The bobcat leapt on to her back and latched onto her neck. 'West!' She screamed as the bobcat clawed her shoulder. -this is it.- she thought. She reared and tried to dislodge the bobcat, but slipped and fell. The bobcat pinned her to the ground and she screamed again. 'WEST!'

"I've seen it before." West commented, then paused as she spoke. His jaw tightened for a moment before he began to answer. "You are part of the herd I took upon myself to protect, but-" He was cut off from the rest of his answer as she spoke again, this time moving sideways. He didn't move at first, really just thinking *phew, not today* and then followed her. His ears perked forward as he listened, and he nodded as she asked if he heard it. He started to have a bad feeling... "You shouldn't get too close in case it is something dangerous." He warned, trotting forward, but he was too late. The bobcat flew out and latched onto her. +Poor Dream, she's been attacked by so many things lately!+ he thought, but he didn't know how to get it off without hurting her. He darted forward and used his neck to swing and smash against the bobcat, sending the rather small feline flying. It landed with a snarl, then West switched tactics. He dragged one leg on the ground and limped heavily like he was hurt, away, and prayed it worked- he didn't want to be fighting the bobcat and have it decide Dreams would just be easier. The feline hesitated for a second before sprinting after him. A half a second before it sank its fangs into his rump, West whirled and smashed it away with his hooves. They were far enough away from Dream now that if the bobcat ran for her, West could catch it. The feline snarled in anger and launched at his shoulder, raking its claws down his pelt, before West reared up and landed on the ground hard enough to jarr it off. He landed another solid kick to its flank, and then it seemed injured enough it couldn't go on. The bobcat limped away as quickly as it could and disappeared into the brush. West quickly started towards Dream, but his leg shot with pain, so he glanced down to see the bobcat had got it pretty good. He shook his head and went to Dream anyway, ignoring the pain. "Are you okay?"

Cosmo nuzzled he four head before he spoke "I've learned that humans are horrible I watched my herd get killed by them with a stick ....there was a loud bang then a horse would drop dead then there was the smell of fire then it was gone " he told her before pointing to his shoulder with his nose "I was shot twice"

Harmony appreciated the nuzzles. They calmed her.

Then he told her about his herd getting killed.

She gasped when he said what they used. "Cosmo." She said softly, in a comforting voice. "I know what the humans call it. And I do agree that they are awful, they call it a Gun. They ... Threatened me and my.... Now..." She choked. "deceased filly. I guess I never told you what her name was? It was Hope. Just like the Hope here." she licked his shoulder. "I'm sorry you got shot. I'm am glad you're okay." She looked at him admiring his looks. "They threatened to kill us both if I didn't work hard enough."

Hope emerged from the shrubs tired and sore. She layed down at the waters edge and left her mouth open letting the cool water cool her mouth. Slowly rising she pawed at the grass, unsatisfied with the taste.
