I've just captured 5 ISH mares and used a Sherpa map for one. I then went directly to breed approvals and started working through the horses. It seemed like there were more than 5 (but I wasn't really counting!) and might have been more like 10 horses that I approved. They were all wild and I am always up to date with my approvals so it seemed a bit strange that I had more than 5. One of the mares that I captured was EWE and I went looking for her in my stable. I was surprised to find that she was not there! I definitely spent more than 3750 on breed approvals but still only have 5 horses.

I hope this makes sense - maybe nothing can be done but it seemed strange!

EDIT: I checked the Accountant and he says that I captured 9 horses and sent 9 to breed approvals. I definitely only have 5 as I put them all in an empty barn!

is it possible you accidentally FRd some?

No - I didn't go to the horse page until after I did breed approvals so there is no way I would have been able to do this. I've not only lost a good horse but I'm also out several thousand EBS as it seems I paid for the 4 horses that disappeared!!

Just in case, maybe check the free range for the EWE?
Stable --> Stable Activities --> My Account --> Retrieve from Free Range

Thank you, Gem - I checked the Free Range but it seems that it gets cleared overnight so it would be too late. Also, I didn't get a chance to even look at the horse so there is no way that I would know which number to search for.

The accountant says that I FR'd 2 horses yesterday and that is correct. They were not part of the ones that I captured.

It still seems strange that I could capture 5 horses but pay for 9 - there is no option to capture 9 horses, only 5 or 10 (and I chose 5).

Ok, this gets weirder! I just discovered the missing horses in another barn! I had indicated when I captured them that they were to go to a vacant barn but somehow these 4 ended up in a barn that I thought was full!

I only found them when I went to Explore and discovered that I had 9 horses without ratings.

I didn't want to spend this much money on capturing but at least I have what I paid for!

If said barn becomes full it will auto move those horses to a different barn

I possibly picked the wrong barn but it's still strange that I asked for 5 horses and got 9. Fortunately, I had the funds for it (and a capture quest) but it would have been annoying if I was saving up for something and lost money.
